To date, that single is one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard.

Voices, I think? I don't know the sin that well, but that song hit like a virus.

Yea I love the dear hunter group. Someone pointed me towards the vinyl of act Iv and v being restocked bc they saw I was bummed I missed it

 

I like being an amateur when it comes to production because I can just decide if I like the songs and not agonize over every detail

Man, Ed kicks ass on this album.

This has grown on me a lot already from just a few days, so I'm expecting this to be a Beggars situation where it went from "eh" to a "perfect album" overtime for me.

I really hope for their tour they pull out Just Breathe, A Branch in the River, Hold Up a Light, and Beyond the Pines for their picks on this album (along with The Grey of course). I think all those songs could turn out great live.

Everything Belongs is probably my favorite up there with Just Breathe, but I don't know if they would play it live. I'd love to be wrong

 

you don't have to be an expert in production to know if something doesn't sound good to your ears.

 

They'll definitely play The Dark and let the crowd sing at the end. Also The Grey. Maybe/Probably Only Us. The rest I don't know. I'd say Hold Up a Light has a good chance.

 

I agree, The Grey will def stay on the set and if they do The Dark, they can do Only Us probably since both have the same kind of synth in it.

I would love Hold Up a Light and A Branch in the River obviously since they are the faster, more rocking tracks.

 

You can rest easy. I sent a follow up with screen shots of the two different emails asking if I was still getting the wax mage variant. Just got this.

so where should I start with this band? Never properly investigated them.

 

My KRM page says my order shipped yesterday, but has no tracking info yet so perhaps they merely created a shipping label. No actual e-mail confirmation yet, though.

Still haven't received a shipping update. Just says that it is "shipping soon."

Someone on the subreddit already received their KingsRoad order, but it was the grey variant.

 

Oh man. If I could go back and rediscover them.

I'm gonna just say Beggars, but only because it's my favorite album of all time.

 

When I saw them right after TBEITBN dropped, they played Hurricane, Blood On the Sand, The Long Defeat, Black Honey, Stay With Me, and Death From Above. Not sure we'll get six Palms tracks on this tour, but would love it if we did.

 

I usually suggest Anthology, the live album from their farewell tour before they went on hiatus. Then depending on whether and what you like from that, you can explore the rest of their discography.

 

Yeah, I saw them on the 2nd leg of the TBEITBN tour and it was 6 songs too, they switched out Stay with Me for The Window.

6 songs seems about right....but I also want those 6 TBE songs...and also the staples from Artist and Vheissu but also For Miles, Yellowbelly, Firebreather..... I just want too much!

 

Nice....but with Live at the House of Blues, you get a visual aid if you watch the amazing DVD (or find it on youtube). You can see how amazing they are first hand!
