I just don’t see that happening for pricing (at least the top one being that expensive) I don’t know. A lot has been going around about 799, 899, and 999 but that’s probably a pipe dream.

With Qi chargers work if the phone has a plastic back? I’m pretty sure it will be exactly like the iPhone 8.

As for pricing, I’m expected $699 for the lower end Xr, $899 for the lower end XS, and $999 for the lower end Xs Max.

Every time I type Xr and Xs Max I’m ready to throw up. They sound like Sony names.

The only reason I could see a $100 price-drop is if a) the component costs have gotten cheaper over the last year (Apple isn't in the business of cutting down margins) and b) they are looking to price the Max more appropriately at the $1k threshold.

The X sold less than the 8 and 8 Plus so Apple will probably be more careful with their prices.

I think it can work through a plastic back, but I don't know if a manufacturer has implemented Qi with a plastic back to this point. I know that it will not work with a metal back. They used a glass back on the 8/8+ for wireless charging, so I don't see why they wouldn't do the same with the Xr.

AppleCare+ with "theft and loss" for an eye-watering $399.

Anyone upgrading from the x to one of these newer models?

Probably not, but we'll see. I feel like the X is the perfect size for me, but I'm so tempted for more screen with the Plus (Max?? That's a bad name) so I could end up upgrading at some point. I love this phone a lot and a year later I'm still in shock about how nice it is.

You'd probably still get a decent credit on it if you traded it in I'm guessing.

Looks like the SE is being discontinued after the event :eh:

  13. Sad but it makes sense if they're trying to market the XR as the new budget model.

  14. Hate the name but can’t wait to get a Max lol

Very true, but it was such a pleasure to use when I had it after it first came out, and it had a bit of a nostalgic feel to it. The Xr still won't be able to touch the current price of the SE though.

I’m hoping Apple decides to release a watch that will compete with the Garmin Fenix 5S.

  18. This live blog is cracking me up. ""Believer" by Imagine Dragons now. A good soundtrack for the visual of an Apple intern racing across campus to deliver Tim Cook's iPhone XS"

  23. The realistic ending to this would be her dropping it and the screen shattering because Apple likes to advertise their expensive phones as if people never use cases

  24. Hey Siri on the AirPods is cool.
