    [feigns interest]

They did. Riot just responded to my FB Messenger question. "Due to unforeseen circumstances Hot Snakes will unfortunately no longer be able to play. That's all I've been told."

I can't pretend I was a super-fan before but they were easily my favorite after exploring unfamiliar bands after the first-wave announcement. But my Saturday is already going to be hectic enough. So be it.

NOTE: Since I didn't have tix for the aftershow, I didn't ask about it.

Friday (set to land at 6 so I'm hoping to get to Douglas before the end of Bleachers)
    Bleachers 6:35-7:35
    Young the Giant 7:40-8:40
    Weezer 8:45-10
    Sum 41 after show

    Saturday
    Piebald 2:30-3:15
    Bully 3:45-4:30
    Twin Peaks 5:30-6:30
    Elvis Costello 6:35-7:35
    Gwar 7:30-8:30
    Beck 8:45-10 (partial)
    Andrew WK 9-10 (partial)

    Sunday
    No Small Children 12:15-12:45
    The Dangerous Summer 1-1:30
    Save Face 1:50-2:20
    Superwhatever 2:40-3:10
    Spitafield 3-3:45
Bullet For My Valentine 3:45-4:30 (leave early for The Audition)
    The Audition 4:15-5
The Bouncing Souls 4:30-5:15 (might try to catch the last 15 min but I'll see them at Tid the Season so I won't be heartbroken if I miss them)
    Superchunk 5:30-6:30
    Blondie 5:45-6:45 (partial)
    Underoath 6:15-7:15 (partial)
    Alkaline Trio 6:50-7:50 (partial)
    The Wonder Years 7-8 (partial)
    Incubus 7:45-9 (partial)
    Bad Religion 8:30-9:30
    Run the Jewels 9-10 (partial)

Sunday is going to be rough but I'm gonna do my best. The only bands I really care about seeing a full set for are Save Face and The Audition so that makes it a little easier. Very glad I changed my flight home to Monday.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I do this every year. I’m like “man, I wish I could go to Riot Fest” and then they drop their schedule and I see all the horrid amount of conflicts, and then I’m relieved I’m not going...

I would only be able to see maybe 3 whole sets the entire weekend

I always try to pick full sets instead of splitting time. I get bothered if I feel like I only saw half a bands set or a few songs. Plus I hate running around that much.

The one upside to Blink having to drop is now I don't have to miss Face To Face haha

This festival is more and more of a shit show every time they give any update. No wonder they waited so long to do it. Those conflicts are atrocious.

Literally every festival ever has conflicts lol that just means they booked a good lineup

    Things have changed.

OK. Whatever you say. "Hot guys" doesn't make it a conflict.

Switching Wonder Years with Superchunk would resolve both of the worst conflicts of the day. Don't understand how they booked those 4 bands at the same times given their fanbases.

They should have us spot check their schedules before they go final. This sucks.

How are the Adolescents playing if Steve Soto just passed? Was he in the band at the time?

If I remember correctly, they said when he passed that they're still playing the shows they have booked, I'm assuming with a fill-in.

They have in the past switched bands around despite their trolling about not caring about specific conflicts. Maybe you all will get lucky and they'll do it again.

    Yes

Brad Logan (the same from guy from the Rancid song "Brad Logan") is currently taking his place

They’re keeping all their touring commitments they booked before Steve passed. Brad Logan (Leftöver Crack, F Minus, Rats In The Wall) is filling in on bass

    Hey friends.
My ex has my ticket and isn’t answering anything me about giving it to me.
I wasn’t planning on going, but my mental health is at an all time low and I think this would be perfect self care.

If anyone can find a ticket for a cheap price pls LMK!
    I’ll be coming from NY.

Yea I mean it's a little odd, although I'd say the Wonder Years probably will pull the under 21 pop punk fans and Alkaline will pull the older folks. Still - it's an inevitable part of any festival.
Nooo!! Cus I do not want Blondie and the Wonder Years playing at the same time.

not liking these conflicts but I guess its just part of what happens at a festival. My biggest issue is Alkaline and Wonder Years at basically the exact same time

Blondie/Underoath is the only real conflict that's killing me.

My biggest conflict is D4 and Blondie. The rest is very manageable. BTW Saturday is super underrated. I think there’s a lot going on that people would like if they would give it a shot.

Saturday is amazing. Cobra Skulls-Reignwolf-Bully is NOT amazing. Glad Bully is opening for BR at the after show at least.

Saturday is the definition of a day I’m sure I would’ve loved if we got the daily schedules a month ago. Now I may just take the morning to go show my friend Chicago, grab some food, and try to get there to check out Hellzpoppin. Has anyone done that before? Do you just show up at 3:30?
