Yeah, this whole thing is a mess

 

Sort of wished I dropped the $100 for the 3 rate variants now that I’ve heard this thing. It’s not that I didn’t expect to like, I just didn’t expect a record of this quality from them again..

I really need to know what song My Soul reminds me of. It's becoming a problem. It's bugging me beyond belief that I can't figure it out.

After only 3 listens, I will say each listen has been better than the last. Excited for my first listen with a good pair of headphones.

honestly My Soul sounds like it could be any number of Circa songs but not any particular one

 

Ok I'm fairly certain this is the song My Soul reminds me of

Mostly just the way they both sing the words "ready" and "steady" basically the same way. It's cool tho. 2 great songs so everybody wins.

 

I’ll be bummed if I don’t get the wax mage variant. I messaged wax mage on IG to try and see if they actually pressed the record or not. I’ll report back if they respond.

They are Colour Revolt fans so it totally makes sense. The ending of Wake Up they did say was influenced by Colour Revolt.

 

For absolutely no reason whatsoever, my hype for this was pretty low.... but I’m currently on listen #5 and can’t believe how much I love it. TBEITBN was great but the jump in quality here is undeniable

Just Breathe is quite the title for a song that keeps taking my breath away

So I knew the album leaked, but I only just realized that it plays on Apple Music despite still having all but Only Us and The Grey selectable. So you can imagine my confusion when The Grey ended and I start hearing palm muted chords when I expect it to usually repeat Only Us or just stop after I play the pre-release tracks. Holy shit.

 

The dark release today so that’s probably why it played

 

I don't know if it's the production or my ears, but I feel like Riley's drumming is not as apparent as the instrumentation from the other members of the band..

 

Oh, damn I was overly excited that I might be able to listen to the whole thing that way. I was doing dishes and listening but had to stop to put the kids to bed after The Dark finished. It still shows it to be greyed out but I suppose that’s the most logical explanation.

 

I love that song and the album! Gets better every listen

 

Got super excited when I saw I had an email from Kings Road and that the download was going to be for the album, but it’s only for The Dark. Almost there!

 

just breathe is something special. sounds like major/minor's sound fully realized tbh.

 

everything belongs sounds like air tbh!!!!

really lots of callbacks to previous sounds without sounding like rehashes but as i said in a previous post its more reimagining these sounds in the image of modern thrice.
