I have a story, for the first time in a while. Because apparently, normal things can't happen to me.

So, I went to a Meetup last night and it was largely awful. Luckily, I was saved by a lesbian couple who were great. Then this Italian girl joined us. Turns out she's a bit of a firebrand and has a pretty serious punk background. I am intrigued. The four of us bail on the Meetup and go to a better bar.

The couple eventually leave and the two of us have another drink. I realise I've missed my bus, so I suggest we take a walk. So, we start walking around the weird end of Bristol's harbour. We find a cave, with a lit torch in it. This spooks me considerably and I pull her away from whatever was about to happen. Then we're kissing in this kind of nasty end of the harbour. Well, if we're honest, I was to blame for that.

We then walk to a 24 hour supermarket and buy (of all things) a smoothie, some hummus and two bags of sugar snap peas. I can't get a bus at this point, so I suggest I walk her home (we're in a kind of rough area) and I'll call a cab from there. She's nervous about this, as she lives with her ex boyfriend. It starts to rain. I'm carrying hummus. I don't understand how this is my life.

We get back to hers and we get kind of cosy in the kitchen. I tell her that I'll leave as soon as she wants me to. What follows is a confusing couple of hours of me not knowing whether I'm leaving. She'll make some comment about needing to get up, the ex or being tired. I'll ask her if she wants me to go, but before I can get my phone, we're snuggled up again. If we're honest, I was kind of drunk and very tired and so probably wasn't helping much.

Eventually I leave. The cab driver recognises me and tells me I'm a long way from home. When we get to mine, his card payment thing fails, so he has to drive me to a cash point to pay him. I end up walking back through the estate at 4am.

Current situation is that my head hurts and I'm in the horrible limbo of having messaged her, hoping that she might want to see me again.

On one hand, that explains the response, it would make sense to have a gf now after months but on the other hand then why hasnt he deleted his okcupid
