  1. The way this all rolled out was def a bummer but in one week I'll be at Riot Fest and it's gonna be a fuckin blast and I can't wait to have another great weekend in Chicago with my buds

There better not be a Bad Religion/Alkaline Trio conflict on Sunday.

That would be my all-time favorite band vs my girlfriend's all-time favorite band.

This is how people become single.

Don't do this to me, Riot Fest.

If the schedule works out on Saturday where the bands I wanna see are grouped together I might go explore Chicago a little. This will be the third time I’ve gone but I’ve never been around the city at all. Praying there aren’t too many conflicts on Sunday.

Like I get it, be upset, but don't act like they did something so evil it's unforgivable. Obviously something (or many things probably) didn't go the way they planned this year and they've still managed to deliver a pretty fantastic line up. Idk it's just not that serious to me, maybe cus I'm not a Bauhaus fan anyway so RTJ is honestly preferable, but I'm just not that angry. And I think if they didn't think they had something, they would've just held RTJ back until today and used Weezer and TBS as the blink replacement. So I truly believe that up until today they thought they were going to be able to secure a final headliner.

  6. Like, there's reason enough to have some animosity towards the fest but for those of us who already had tickets it's not gonna change anything so we may as well just get stoked for the weekend! They already have our money, we can yell at them for a whole year after Sunday haha.

Honestly, if they would have announced Weezer as covering for Blink yesterday and then dropped RTJ for the headliner today and the addition of TBS, I wouldn't have blinked an eye about them taking the ??????? spot. RTJ is huge for me. So excited for that. I caught RTJ, Weezer, and TBS last year and they were all great. Admittedly I was more interested in seeing Cold War Kids open for Weezer and All Get Out open for TBS so I'm not dying to see them today. 10-15 years ago I would. Love for TEN hasn't subsided though and that does hurt. After hours show would have been great.

I'd at least watch Gary Numan play "Cars" just to say I'd seen it live

If next weekend goes off without any problems, I will purchase the $99 tickets for next year. RF always pulls off a solid weekend and I honestly think this year was just a fluke (they obviously had issues with multiple headliners). Despite the headliner issue, this lineup is pretty stacked IMO.

The weather is looking favorable for next weekend. Let’s party. We have a kick ass weekend ahead of us.

I've said it before - don't trust a weather forecast for anywhere a week out. Especially Chicago.

There's also a hurricane that'll be lingering off the east coast by then that'll stall the weather systems so who knows what will happen next week.

Fingers crossed it's nice weather for everyone.

There's still a lot of problems I've had with how it went down (lack of clear communication, social media, etc.) and it still doesn't fix problems many people have that will keep them from coming (including those who just no longer can't because it's too late to make plans now.) I think its cool to be vocal on those and it will definitely be good to give feedback at the end of the weekend (in case there's more to add)

Anyone think they might just have three stages this year? Roughly only 30 acts per day, doesn't seem enough to fill four.

Just paid way too much so I could come home Monday instead of Sunday but now I know I won’t miss anything at least! Can’t wait to go directly from the airport to work Monday haha.

There were 5 last year, I'm guessing 4 this year.

Wish they would have filled out a 5th with an emphasis on local bands.

Even better would be to let the acts play for longer than 30-40 minutes.
