    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

They sometimes have bands do DJ sets/performances too.

Also just checked with my friend and he's cool to do both, so see you at State Champs and Aaron West!

It won't end at 10 unless there's been a hard curfew instituted.

It's scheduled to end at 10 every year, unless a set spills over.

It's Chicago and therefore there is ABSOLUTELY a hard curfew at 10pm. If the band goes over, it's a lot of coin.

Also, for those not from the area, Metro is one of the more (if not the most) popular venues for musicians. It's surprising Emo Night Brooklyn is playing there.

Just got an email from Riot Fest detailing the new bands announced yesterday and the aftershows. Imagine that's it for announcements today then.

oh word, that’s good to know. last year was my first year and i didn’t do any aftershows (wasn’t sure how my body would handle it haha), so this is my first time really trying to plan these as well.

    appreciate it!

Festivals get some leeway on that. Lollapalooza definitely does. And being from Chicago I know that there's a hard curfew for Monday-Thursday but there's been some lenience on the weekend nights of late for all ages shows going to as late as 10:30. We know how to party!

The Cure definitely got cut off when they hit 10 and it sucked.

Wrigley has a 11pm curfew unless there’s weather delays

I heard Green Day had to pay some $$$ as a result of going over.

I can't recall a night of Riot Fest that I absolutely stayed until the end, though.

In 2013 Pearl Jam was able to play until 2 am after a 2 hour delay from lighting and rain at Wrigley. I'm pretty sure they said they'd take the fine too from the city.

I mean, it doesn't matter since that neighborhood sucks now anyway.

Yep, they were going to encore with "Give Me It," which would have been perfect.

I'm still "never again" on aftershows after going to TBS in 2016. So drained.

Also didn't help that it turned out they were treating it as an album release show and played Tidal Wave front to back, crowd was not super receptive.

That's because Tidal Wave wasn't that good.

Agreed, but even if it was good, a surprise front-to-back play of it the day it drops is just a weird set. People don't know these songs, and it's basically the first hour of your show. I actually felt kinda bad for them - audience engagement was night and day once they finished playing the album.

Anyone in here not using one of their free single day passes? Or selling a 3 day or single day?
