Adam tweeted that as of yesterday TBS really weren’t gonna play. It’s sounds like they really did add these three yesterday so I’m stoked for tomorrow. All my friends want to go now because they’re huge RTJ fans and all just moved to Chicago so I’m slyly getting them out to the punk festival.

 

I find it amusing that we’ve had less discussion since a bit of news came out.

 

So, the only two times I've seen Run the Jewels were playing Mo Pop and opening for Lorde. Both shows were awesome, but the most exciting thing to me about this announcement is that I'm FINALLY going to see Run the Jewels in a prominently punk-rock type of crowd, as opposed to an indie-pop type of crowd, where I can push pit my heart out and not get weird looks, haha.

 

My buddy is possibly bailing on me because I guess blink was the ONLY reason he was going to a 3 day festival across the country.

 

Time to get a new buddy...

 

He commented on the post on FB where they announced blink not being there asking if he could get a refund and people ripped into him hahahah

Its obviously Bauhaus. The Reader was a week early by mistake, they were gonna announce yesterday before blink made the call forcing them to delay another day. Also they keep deleting comments on their Facebook about it being Bauhaus so they’re obviously trying to cover it up

I had actually been a little disappointed when Blink was announced because I was hoping they would play Enema of The State in full at Riot Fest next year. Looks like we are halfway there!

 

This whole Bauhaus thing is wild. Ha. It could just be Murphy and David J, though. They're touring together later this year. They wouldn't bank on Poptone to be the other headliner, would they? That would be hella anticlimactic.

 

Also Weezer was awesome when I saw them at Maha a few weeks ago. Should be a good replacement.

 

A lot of my friends think weezer is boring live but I’ve never been disappointed.

 

I've seen Weezer twice and it was awesome both times.

 

Saw Weezer back in 2011 and it's still one of my favorite shows I've ever been to.

 

Adding to everyone else's comments.. I saw Weezer in 2014 and it was so much fun.

 

Do we think we are getting a handful more bands tomorrow or just the other headliner? Any possible bands that people have heard might be added?

 

I think we get after shows, more bands, and headliner.
Schedule next week.

 

I wouldn't even be surprised if we got after shows on Monday to drive up sales of single day passes (i.e. I don't know if this band is playing an after show, I better buy a Riot ticket to be safe.)

I saw Weezer with FOB ands Rivers sang a song about Patrick Stump's humidifier. It was hilarious.
