This album is really good! So many elements: black metal, sludge, death metal, doom etc. but the synths are just out of this world!

Thanks bby. These guys scratch every itch I've been enjoying recently so it's no wonder I'm digging the hell out of this. Plus, I've been waiting for this album for a couple years since I first heard Alone in the Grave.

Best metal band in St. Louis by a mile, I’m legit proud of those dudes for making that album.

 

I'm not really familiar with this band, but it's Thrash Metal Thursday so I put this on this morning and it's pretty solid...

 

eh. eh. both will likely be top 10 heavy releases of the year for me, but Khemmis, Mournful Congregation, Wake, Vein, UADA, and Six Brew Bantha will have something to say about that from my end when I actually do my rankings. That's not including Turnstile if you're including hardcore like that under heavy releases. And that's not even including Pig Destroyer, Horrendous, Windhand, and Tragedy (once I have a chance to dive into it a lot more) which all are looking pretty great.

Basically, this is a really good year for heavy tunes.

 

2018 has been a great year for music IN GENERAL!

The new Turnstile just hits the right chords in my bones. I wasn't a huge fan of any of their past releases, but this one does it for me. Idk, man.

 

It’s up there as a contender for my AOTY. You are right in that it’s just a perfectly executed album.

 

T(H)RASH METAL THVRSDAY TIME
