Let's hold our breath until we disappear

    About 50/50.

The Early November is basically confirmed, right? Because Ace Enders just posted their tour dates and said they'll be adding another next week. Sooooooooooo I think we can extrapolate we'll get the second wave + schedule and after shows next week.

Well, yes, lol, but also I'm saying that so we all stop waking up each day this week expecting it.

I mean Ace Enders might not mean he is announcing another show next week... he is probably literally saying we will be adding another show which will be taking place next week.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me sad. I have always been aware of TEN, and listened to them and liked them, but I've never really gotten too familiar with anything, and if they were announced weeks ago, I would've spent more time familiarizing myself with them.

It looks like their set list is going to be comprised of requests via Instagram, too, so it'll be harder to anticipate.

And fair, the announcement might still come this week. But I'm just going to assume it won't so I stop being disappointed every day, lol. After shows are going on my credit either way, so it doesn't really matter at this point.

And yet people are still gaslighting themselves into excusing Riot Fest for all of this shit this year.

I wonder if LouFest gave out press credentials and still canceled.

I doubt we're getting an announcement today. We're going to be 8 days out tomorrow.

I mean even if Riot Fest cancels, or even if the second wave never comes, even if we show up at the fest completely in the dark, I already forgive them and will plan to attend again next year, so long as they have it. 1 off year when it's clear there were major problems behind the scenes is not going to erase 6 years of great experiences for me.

To each their own. I learned my lesson after line-ups that weren't worth weekend passes to me and stopped buying early bird tickets blind. Last year I went one day. This year it's looking like none and I don't feel any bit of regret about that because of how terrible Riot Fest has handled this year. Giving them money is going to be hard to warrant going forward.

regarding loufest, apparently their vendors did not find out until this morning when everyone else found out that it was canceled.

just throwing that out there, because i saw someone earlier saying something about vendors preparing for it must mean that it’s good to go (i think it was something of that effect, it was a couple pages ago and i don’t wanna scroll through all of those, so apologies if i paraphrased incorrectly haha)

Same boat here. Depending on daily schedule I might not even go. Not many of my friends are going now, and normally my whole friend group is excited... not this year... and frankly I’m just pissed about everything overall.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I've bought everything already for this year, so I'm going for sure, but I'm definitely going to look at other options moving forward. Like I said a few pages ago, I'd love to do TIFF this weekend instead.

That's exactly what's happening with me. It's gone from "We must go when Beck plays" to "It's not required". I have two friends with weekend passes who are pissed with how this has gone and they had Early Bird tickets. It's a fine line-up that isn't helped by this promotional disaster and people are tired of it. They have to step up their game next year and actually act like adults.

They are playing in Detroit on Friday... so it's pretty solid the hole in their tour schedule is filled with a Riot

I do have to lol @ people saying shit about Lollapalooza and it’s supposed shiftiness still when talking about Riot Fest. (Saw some complaints on Facebook) Think what you want about Lollapalooza (I went last year and had a great time), but at least they always have their shit together and backups in plan in case bands or musicians have to back out.

There were a couple of acts that had to back out this year and they were immediately replaced. Lollapalooza runs like a machine. Anyone who thinks they're shifty is just wrong.

I just can't get behind buying tickets to a four-day festival blind.

I'm not sure but they released the statement canceling it at like 1:50 AM this morning, and up until then every thing seemed all systems go outside of a couple of reports of two sponsors bailing and the energy company was rumored to be out. When i told my friends who were going to Loufest (who were pretty blind sided by that) all the shit happening with this they were agreeing with me that this seems more bleak.

I can confirm vendors did not know. One of my friends co-owns a bar that was going to be there.
