99% of everyone simply goes to the festival.
0.5% knows someone who knows someone who once met a guy who worked at the fest.

You are one of the rare, unique people who have anything to say about the festival who actually knows even a minuscule amount of information. No press passes. Literally the ONLY interesting information to come out of hundreds of hours of internet rants and questioning.

In the field of rampant internet speculators, you're a goddamned four-leaf clover.

    @Bayside_182 got namechecked too!

And somebody referenced some mid-tier band who said they didn't know what day they were playing... And then got back to them an hour later saying "Sunday."

    So. Stuff.

Ok i have a source that just revealed everything to me, but I am sworn to secrecy sorry guys. I'm not even allowed to give a definitive yes or no that it's happening. But just trust me. I know.

If Bauhaus was confirmed to play Riot Fest 2018, I wonder if the delays to the second lineup announcement have anything to do with Peter Murphy's visa issues. He has had to cancel a San Francisco residency two or three times due to such complications. Here's an article that offers a bit more explanation. It's from February but this appears to be an ongoing issue.

Peter Murphy forced to postpone San Francisco residency yet again due to visa issues

I love Bauhaus and always dreamed of seeing them play live. Cancelling the Denver Riot Fest was bad news enough.

There are other bands they could drop onto us which would be extremely unexpected: The Runaways, Generation X, Fugazi (although it has been discussed) are a few. Yes, the founding drummer has passed, but if the rest of the Runaways re-united and put together a set with their stuff + band members solo hits, that would be insane.

    This isn't Reddit. Stop it.

Yeah, that's pretty much what folks are (or were) assuming to be at least part of the issue.

Seems like they may be making moves to pull something else off, though.

I'd be into any of that, though I highly doubt Fugazi (per usual). Haha. Riot Fest has a habit of bringing in solo acts, side projects, et cetera and then bringing in the reunion.

Joan Jett's played in the past, Billy Idol's played in the past, and so forth. And basically everyone in the Misfits reunion played before that one happened.

I've been when it was at Five Star. Once it moved to the middle of the week in Logan Square I've never been back.

If it was a reunion of a band that hasn't played in 30 plus years, you'd think that band would be practicing by now and somebody would've spilled the beans.

I heard some stuff too, but I can't divulge it because if I do then Satan will have to take whoever I tell's soul as well. Tbh, totally worth it.

    Absolutely! Unless....

Band A cancelled last second, Band B can't work out Visa issues so artist C gets contacted way late and agrees. They begin practicing together and are now simply waiting for one member to confirm they are available on that day (or maybe one headliner is possibly being moved to a different day to accommodate).

Good lord, I hope this is Fugazi and they're waiting for Brendan to lock in his flight from Philly on the open Sunday from his tour with MC5.......nope. Still thinking not Fugazi. Damnit.
