But really, read into this however you want. Either they're actually being honest with the bands or they're bullshitting them. Hard to tell. One would hope the former.

Ok, story time...

2013. Last year on the south end of Humboldt. Friends and I are riding the Division bus to the park and we strike up a conversation with a woman sitting across from us. She says she's going for AFI and wants the front row. She then tells us that she's wearing an adult diaper because she won't be leaving her spot all day. We give each other weird glances, end the conversation, and try not to think about it again...

Until I saw her getting out of an Uber in my neighborhood that night.

Well, the "source" is probably their management. Hah. Who could also be trying to just calm the band(s) down... I trust that the band is "telling the truth" based on what they know, but it really is dependent on how honest the festival is being with the bands (and fans).

That being said, there's clearly something the festival is trying to sort out before things get announced.

 

Can confirm two bands listed lower on the lineup have absolutely no clue what day they’re playing but as far as they know the festival is still on.

haha, this is fucking stupid. I am from St. Louis so Loufest's cancellation has hit home to a lot of my friends and this feels like a way worse scenario then that was up until a couple days ago.

 

i decided to lurk the reddit page for RF and saw a post titled 'info' that said something about money and a sponsor issue, no bauhaus, and no mcr, and no other headliner. looks like the post is gone though. at this rate i feel like I'll believe anything tho
