Direct Hit or Cobra Skulls make the most sense to me

 

What could possibly be taking so long to announce a schedule and other bands? Even if there is something still not 100% how have they not produced a schedule 10 days out.

 

I'd be super stoked on either. I feel like Cobra Skulls will definitely be doing an aftershow, regardless... If not this, then they'll be opening for the Souls or D4 or Lagwagon or something.

Outside of retweeting some contests, they pretty much haven't even bothered to promote the fest on social media.

I guess everyone following it already KNOWS about the fest, and I saw a poster on the train platform yesterday, but otherwise...I dunno. Seems like they promoted the fest a LOT more last year.

 

Well, very anecdotal:

Last year: # Emails from Riot Fest related to festival (not for other RF promoted shows) from 8/1 until today: 14
This year: *3*.

That being said, there do seem to be a few more cross promotion emails, just not nearly as many from Riot Fest directly.

 

Also they haven't done anything with the app notifications in awhile

 

maybe they're waiting for Billy Joel to do his show on friday to announce the second wave, daily schedule, single day tickets, aftershows, press passes, app notifications and email bombardment?

 

I know we didn't start the fire, but it is a matter of trust. I gotta know when me and my uptown girl can see the piano man. We've been waiting for the longest time.

Oh well. No matter how long the wait, I guess it's still rock n roll to me.

Y'all can joke but Billy Joel at Riot Fest would be the most lit event of the 21st century. I'm very excited about the Wrigley show this Friday

I’m glad I didn’t because I would be EXHAUSTED after Dragon Con, but I’m way more sad about not going to Billy Joel/FOB than I am about missing RF.

It's fucking weird to me that they haven't tweeted hardly at all today about the Sox game promo thing, hah...

Is it weird that this response makes me nervous? To me, this means something's up or not going according to plan, and things haven't hit a tipping point yet, but they could...

Unless the Tribune is just as information less as the rest of us, but they know things are delayed.

But yeah. This is the first bit of news (or lack thereof) that's made me feel a bit queasy about potentially having to eat the cost of my flight haha.
