Lolla people are the worst!

I worked Lolla one year just standing next to a gate to let in their golf carts for artists, water, food etc. I had to look at everyone's passes that walked by and noticed this one man didn't have one. So I asked politely to see his pass. He takes out his ID, puts his arm around me and says "I happen to be one the biggest people involved in this fest so never ask me for my pass again. I bring in everyone to this shit city with this festival." He leaves and walks away. Whatever. Later he comes back and says "I once again made thousands of people happy but you didn't!"

Tl;dr Fuck Lollapalooza

 

the people who run the street team are cool too. i did it a couple of years ago and loved everyone involved. but i can't speak of anyone higher up in the office

Man I wonder who it was! The C3 dudes are all really cool (Charlie Walker, Charles Attal, Charlie Jones) and so's Huston Powell. That dude should thank you for being so diligent and not complaining about it.

I don't think so because a ton of C3 people were in and out of the gate I was at and they were all very nice. Maybe this guy just conned me and got in for free and had to keep up an act haha

went to lolla in '13 & '14 before i discovered Riot. Best/worst thing i witnessed was while waiting for Outkast to start my wife and i were sitting on the hill off to the side and were chatting with this lovely couple sitting nest to us, very friendly.. but once Outkast came on the 2 of them started freak dancing/daggering so hard, and during a move where they were basically just doing doggy style, they guy pelvic thrusted his wife so hard that thye both went tumbling down the hill taking out the next 4 or 5 people below them. it was glorious.

Oh me too. One of my ATFs. When I last covered the fest (my only time) Perry was standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Did I even say hi? Of course not. I just froze. It's the only time that's ever happened. However, to this day, I know if I started talking I would have sounded like that character Chris Farley played on SNL.
