I doubt he would sign to up his sell on value. He only has a year option left at the end of this season. A 5 year deal now would price him out of the market.

If he does want to, and is confident that he was going to leave he would sit out until the summer. We would be forced to sell to make any money back.

£22.5m is a great deal for Dembele, considering we signed him for around £500K. Our problem is that we have done little to no movement on the transfer funds and will not see this money, as usual. I know we can't hold onto the player, especially after the goals and idea of him leaving last season.

Rangers have done their bit and it's showing them for the better right now which is hard to say. We need to get our finger (or our board) out now before we turn into a shadow of what we had and lose this season before it's even started.

  4. I know just by looking at the table it’s easy to see why Spurs fans are excited about this season, but this is the most confident I’ve felt about what’s ahead. And I think the reason for that is Pochettino. His tactics and in-game adjustments have been outstanding. It’s like everything finally “clicked” for him and he seems extremely confident this year.

    I do not exist.

Pleased that Forest managed to beat Newcastle last night. Second season in a row we've knocked them out of the cup. The final five minutes were exciting.

Now, if only we could learn how to beat Championship teams that would be great...

I've already changed my views on so many teams this year.

I now think Spurs will finish third and that 4th, 5th and 6th are a total crapshoot between Arsenal, Chelsea and United. I'd say Chelsea are probably the best cause Arsenal's squad is so poorly assembled and there is only so much Emery can do in a season.

I think we can still finish top 4. We have the players to, they just aren't performing. I've hope that they will start performing soon.

José seems to be trying to create a siege mentality of sorts. Dunno if that will work.

    I agree with this assessment.

  9. I think 4th place will be a battle between United and Chelsea. I don’t know who to give the edge to right now. I honestly haven’t watch Chelsea yet but I could see them settling in and that midfield dominating soon.

United definitely have the talent but I have no clue what the mentality of that team is right now. It’s hard to tell what is being over dramaticized by the media and what is actually happening.

Arsenal just seem like a mess right now. I’d be very surprised if they made top 4.

The only thing I'd say is we have a new manager and system, and I feel like we will grow into the season. Also we started with games against City and Chelsea, and looked good for parts against Chelsea.

I personally think people are writing us off too quickly based on two tough opening fixtures considering the situation. That said, I still think 5th/6th is where we finish, but I reckon it will tighter between 4th-6th than people think.

From what I saw, you were outplayed by West Ham at home, particularly in the first half, and with better finishing Arnautovic could of had a hat-trick. Not to mention an injury time goal putting gloss on the scoreline.

I would REALLY debate us being out played but you are entitled to that opinion. The first half they looked good but the second half, especially when we brought our subs on really out classed them. I think truthfully Emery doesn't know his first choice 11 yet and it is harming us.

there's no amount of money that's a good price for dembele because the board won't reinvest it

My perspective of that Arsenal match was that it was very even and both teams seemed quite weak defensively.

Christ, what a dull England squad. To be expected but I would have liked certain fringe players changed for some newer and more exciting prospects.

He's a good option to have. He dominated our midfield when they beat us (and he scored). He can't just be the only one that comes in though. He's cover for Brown, we've needed it for ages.

We still need RB, CB (x2 preferably) - Benkovic on loan may be a goer, ST - if Dembele goes.

Could this be a year where a team out of the big 6 finish in the top 4?

Think all English teams will go through. City top, everyone else second.
