I don’t have much experience but if you have a Medicare card, visiting a GP and any procedure that isn’t cosmetic is covered and you’ll have a guaranteed discount. My family has ambulance cover and that’s reasonably priced. Private health insurance is very expensive if you’re not using it regularly so my family doesn’t have it. My dad has diabetes and thankfully, all but one of his medications is covered under a health scheme. You can pay for a hospital stay over time here, and general health insurance would cover a majority of the cost

 

I have insurance and this root canal is gonna cost me $500.
