If there were announcements on Tuesday and Thursday, I'd say that I buy it. But honestly, there's really only 8 weekdays left where they could conceivably release the 2nd wave. So even if they do announce the 2nd Wave and aftershows those days, they still could have easily guessed correctly.

A few weeks ago I wouldn't have but right now it's all we got

 

Imagine how frustrated you'd be if you were giving your time up to Riot Fest and putting all the work in to get this promoted and off the ground and the higher ups are just dragging their feet. I'd be pissed.

But if this to be believed, which I am right now, it sounds like they got hit by the festival bubble and had no idea what to do like everyone else.

Really all I can say, but promise more information is coming Thursday and everything else on Tuesday."

Yep! Just the whole "I'm doing this for the people and making a throwaway" act is questionable. Even if they are right, like you said, at this point there are only so many days left for people to guess.

In some good news, its just been announced on FB that the Pop Punk Pizza Party will be happening again on the Saturday night. No other details at present but at least its happening, had my doubts after Quenchers closed down.

 

If that post is right though I'm really scared for the future of the festival :/ I wonder if we see it downsize to two days next year, or a more simplified fest with 3 stages like Pitchfork is or something.

How have I never heard of this?

 

I've been worried about the future of Riot Fest since the move. The signs have been there that it was in trouble but nothing dire until this year.

 

Its an unofficial aftershow on the Saturday night, been held a Quenchers the past few years, think this is the 4th year, punk bands and pizza, what more can anyone want? Last year The Flatliners, Pkew x3, Fitness and The Jacob Horn Trio all played, No other details on this year yet other than a post saying its happening.

 

If third headliner is someone in the poster and Costello isn't the one, who could it be? Incubus, Blondie or Interpol?

Douglas Park sucks. It's super inconvenient and a nightmare to get to and from. I live in Uptown (north side)
