These contracts are the same as quarterback contracts in that of course someone like Cousins or Jimmy G probably aren't "worth" getting biggest NFL contracts in NFL history for quarterbacks or whatever, but it is what it is with the cap growing constantly.

    Right?

The American Dream is being a bench player on an MLB team. The league minimum is 535K, you don’t run the risk of getting brutally injured, less physical toll on body, get to travel around the states every summer for free, and you sometimes go 3-4 days without working.

The thing is, you actually have to be good and play often to get called up to the MLB so haha

not true. none of the mets bench players are good. flawed logic.

Yeah, I should have chosen to be within the 1% of athletically talented players on the planet.

    What was I thinking???

I often think about how I could have probably at least made it to minor league baseball if I didn't quit in high school cause there's a ton of guys I played against that played in the minor leagues that, not to toot my own horn, I was at least on par with. I also played against Kevin Gausman of the Orioles

I'm coaching my daughters' pee wee soccer teams this fall (ages 3-4 and ages 5-6). Anyone remember any fun games they played during soccer practice as a kid?

My son is turning 4 in a few weeks but just completed his first session of 'soccer.' It was kind of a joke. They did almost everything but soccer. They just ran in circles, played a game called 'Alien Tag' with hoola-hoops and then didn't kick a ball around until the final 10 minutes or so. It was bizarre and a lot of parents joked how there was almost no soccer involved. So naturally, we signed him up for a second session that starts next week (he did enjoy...whatever it was they were doing).

On the contrary, he also did T-ball this summer and they actually focused on nothing but baseball - running the bases, throwing, catching and hitting.

I had an irrational hatred of soccer growing up because for some reason it was decided that the baseball players and soccer players hated each other. Now I don't understand any of the rules and there are so many leagues it's confusing
