Some context: Bayern-Hoffenheim was 1-1 after 80 minutes when Bayern got a penalty after Ribery dived. VAR did not interfere. Lewandowski shoots the penalty, Baumann saves but Robben converts the rebound. Now VAR interferes because Robben was too early inside the box (correct, but there were also 3 Hoffenheim players too early in the box). Goal does not count, penalty has to be re-taken. Lewandowski scores.
Then shortly after that Goretzka shoots and the ball gets deflected from Müller's elbow after Müller turned away with his arm close to his body - the ball lands inside the net. Now VAR interferes again and the goal does not count.

How can you fuck up 3 situations after reviewing them on video? The penalty call itself was a joke, it should have been overruled. But instead they overrule two situations that never should have been overruled. How could anyone take VAR seriously if it is executed so arbitrarily?

Josef Martinez breaks the MLS single-season goals record with eight games yet to play in the season. My dude.

Wolves having a wonderful ninety seconds. Handball goal for them and not giving up a clear penalty seconds later.

    VAR would’ve fixed both. Easily.

It’s quite remarkable that people still hate VAR after it was used near flawlessly at the World Cup by one of the most inept organizations on earth. Or that any league still resists using it.

It’s pure banter that the German League is the worst at using it considering the stereotype of German excellence at most things currently in the world.

It is ridiculous that the Premier League doesn't have VAR.

We played like shit all over today, chances that should have been finished but still pissed about a fucking handball goal still happening with all this tech available now.

    I do not exist.

I was impressed by VAR on the whole at the World Cup but to say near flawlessly ignores the first round of group games where it was a joke at times, as well as the final where there were contentious issues. It still produces errors and things are still missed but I agree that the game was better with it than without it. I want it introduced in the PL - but only if all the teams can get it on their stadium screens like the World Cup. The fans need to be able to see it. It will work in that case, even with the odd mistake.

Richarlison just got a weak ass red card.

Handball is only a foul if it's deliberate. Richardson red was correct.

If the rule book say Richarlison deserves a red for that, change the fucking rule book. Smith deserves retroactive punishment for unsportsmanlike conduct, if anything.

I've watched it over and over and still can't fathom the red.

Wolves looked really solid this weekend. A lot of teams are going to lose points to them this season.

That looked quite sore on Valencia. Got caught under Kane's legs.
