i looked at the tv guide and it says Xgames coverage ends at 10 central, so i would say no. Maybe on their website or something

Something I was thinking about earlier:

Not Now was recorded during Untitled.

Where would that song fit in the album? You can remove a song to fit it in or you can add it anywhere. I'm trying to think of the best spot for it because I don't think it fits as the album closer in my opinion. Lost Without You does that job.

Cool, let me know how queuing works. I need to lament in advance if I'm going to be standing and suffering at the barrier all day or if there's going to be a line that at least allows me to go to the bathroom and get food.

  7. From Mark's website regarding photos from the BTD video shoot:
"Now we can't give too much away, so we'll only be publishing photos from the "performance" part of the video shoot."

So that pretty much confirms that it's not just a performance music video! Neat.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

They also saved you the trouble of digging for the video shoot location for your list.

Has Mr. Tate heard the record yet? I'd dig for it, but this approach seems more efficient. If so, what has he said about it?

Last I heard the label blacklisted the site and Jason because he posted about the Bored to Death leak and refused to take it down. Assuming he hasn't heard it given that.

I believe he's heard a few songs, but is not allowed to comment on them yet (as of about 3 weeks ago).

Love this song. Never understood why it was cut. But I say 2nd to last song. Or maybe between always and easy target

Not Now reminds me of Aesthenia in terms of the intro. I was thinking before or after that maybe.

Interesting to read what you guys think though

It blows my mind to this day that Not Now wasn't on the proper album. It's one of the strongest songs from that era. I've always wondered where it would fit as well. The album is already so heavy on Tom vocals, that it's hard to find a good spot for it without rearranging a lot of the tracks. If it weren't for the killer Travis outro in I'm Lost Without You, I'd say that Not Now should be the album closer. Since I don't think it can be, I'm thinking before or after Here's Your Letter.

Putting it after Always would be fine, but that would make three back-to-back songs that were entirely Tom driven. It's a tough call.

Additional note, while I'm thinking about it:
I've always said that the only flaw on the Untitled record was that Mark isn't as prominent on it. And the two tracks that he's in full command of (GO, Here's Your Letter) aren't his strongest. He was always good at the catchy lullabye crooning that offset Tom. His stuff just didn't seen as fully realized on Untitled or Neighborhoods for that matter. The most Mark sounding hooks/choruses between those two albums were Natives and Feeling This in my opinion.

  19. I made an edit of "Not Now" that doesn't have the long space intro awhile back and that's only version of the song I've heard for the last few years. Haha. So if I use that version, the song can pretty much fit anywhere. Maybe I'd put it after "Down" and take out "The Fallen Interlude" or something.

Good point. The long intro definitely makes it difficult to squeeze it into the album in a lot of instances. Cutting that out makes it more versatile for the track listing.

Additionally, I hesitate to put it in the first half of the album, but maybe I shouldn't. It's just that the first half is so strong and immediate compared to the last half. I've always imagined Not Now sort of breaking up the more somber and atmospheric last half, but maybe I've been looking at it all wrong. I don't know.

I always try to buy an album whenever I'm on a vacation. I love associating music with a different environment or journey. I'm not even a big 311 fan, but I bought their last album, Stereolithic while in Key Largo on a sort of Babymoon. It released the week I was out there, and I thought it would seem appropriate. That whole album still makes me think of the Keys; sitting by the pool or on the beach with my pregnant wife or driving down to Key West.

You know what's funny? If you search through my previous posts, I posted almost this exact same thing a few weeks ago (the new blink album will come out the week I'm on a vacation with my family is what brought it up). Crazy part is 311 is one of the bands I was referring to in the post (one of my all time favorites). Their album right before Stereolithic called Universal Pulse came out while I was on vacation in Kissimmee, Florida. Wild.

Seeing blink for the first time tomorrow night at the x-games. So excited. I'm hoping I'll run into Matt/Mark/Travis before the show
