Breading, while made from bread-like substances, is not the same as bread. Every chicken nugget is not a mini sandwich.

Also, the Double Down Sandwich was available with grilled, non-breaded chicken.

 

I would argue that chicken is in fact bread.

 

I’ve had a sandwich that had ramen as the “bread” and also one that had lettuce. Those are sandwiches but don’t have bread so checkmate
