  1. I remixed it with this footage from JP2 because it was so dumb.

    Hahaha that made me chuckle.

And while we're talking about that demos album.....I still think Suburban Kings could've turned into a great Blink song.

When's the last time Tom even played a live show at all? Has to be coming up on like five years now right?

October 14th, 2014 was Tom’s last live blink show.

September 2nd, 2012 was Tom’s last AVA show.

Let’s be honest, thats probably the last time he’s touched a guitar even.

Certainly feels that way. Although, we all cannot forget his April 2015 and April 2016 in-depth, real grinding and hardworking releases of the solo album and Chasing Shadows EP!

The only redeeming quality of that solo album was when someone mashed together Tom’s sad music video with the Bored to Death music video. That was amazing.

Don’t forget about those 4 acoustic songs from WDNTW. That probably took him 45 minutes to do.

He teased the shit out of that WDNTW acoustic ALBUM or like 4 years. Thank god he spared us an hour of his life to record not even half the album, and then try to charge probably $30 for it.

It’s still hilarious to me that it’s the first 4 songs from the album because he was probably recording it in order and then just gave up

To be fair he did post clips on instagram of A Littles Enough, The Gift and Good Day.
It's definitely weird that he only released the first 4 songs from the album, but I don't think it was a matter of getting lazy and just stopping.

Maybe it was way more work than he thought so he decided to save the rest for some deluxe edition of something or a bonus album for a movie/book/whatever.

Yeah I saw him at a festival just after LOVE2. Prob 2012. I think I had a religious experience. I had a blast after my ten wines

Shout out to that YouTube guitar doco a few years ago though. Was it by Ernie Ball? That was fantastic

  15. Copped me one of these cuz why not. Didn’t like the monotone ones that much so no loss there. Split Personality

I applaud them for the success of California. I enjoy that album. BUT, if the next blink album is produced by him and pretty much the exact same thing as both albums I’ll easily not care for it.

I’m hoping the songs on the deluxe edition are an indication of things to come. I just want more Skiba influence.

I would have to think that recording California must have been kind of strange for everyone. I mean Matt literally played 3 shows with Mark and Travis and then less than a year later was in the studio recording. Since then they have played probably over a hundred shows together and have been a real band for 2 plus years now so I would hope that there's a comfort level there now and more trust in all 3 directions.

Say what you want about California but it did everything it was suppose to do, mainly putting blink back on the map again. I just hope that the next album isn't California with a new coat of paint.

It's just hard for me to be optimistic given the repetitiveness of Mark and John's output together these past few years. If there's going to be these long gaps between Trio releases now and this is where I have to hear Matt's voice I hope he and Mark get more comfortable taking way more of the reigns. Mainly I want the writing to get better. A lot better.

Last album had 2 good songs, san diego and sober.

Listen, i see this thread and the bottom line is, tom is the creative input
behind blink. without him, its just going to be a very average blink band.
now with that being said, i understand the frustration with him and them
    wanting to move forward.

but don't expect anything great out of this band till he returns
