Save some money and hit up a dive bar after instead, more authentic experience too

They don't but if you go to an aftershow or any bar they will!

    Whatever. Forever.

Bummer, might be going with some under 21 friends so I don't if a bar is possible. Might have to hit up a restaurant for an early lunch before Sunday.

We had ample opportunity to be honest. But Grind > Malort. Our bodies thank us for that.

SPIN dropped two Riot Fest articles today about Riot Fest (one about the fest in general, and one specificallya bout K.Flay)... I was hoping they'd fuck up and include some new info.

    But nope. Nothing new.

EDIT: I was wrong. Those two articles were yesterday. And there was yet another today... Still no new info, though.

3 articles in 2 days, all from the same publication, seems pretty odd

Secret headliners are Meg White from The White Stripes playing white stripes songs on drums with no backing track and James Dewees as Reggie as My Chemical Romance (all members) and does a theatrical rendition of what a MCR reunion set would look like.

Is there any reason Riot Fest splits its lineup announcement in 2 different waves, opposite of Lollapalooza were all bands are announced with the lineup release?

I don't know that anybody who posts here knows the actual answer to this, but the popular theory seems to be that the second wave bands just weren't "ready to go" contractually when the first wave was announced or had other conflicts (e.g., Warped Tour) that prevented them from being part of the initial announcement.

It's also probably that it's a solid way to get a round of additional press and social media buzz by adding another "top 3"-level act or two, or a major surprise.

The twist is that Reggie doesn't actually play any MCR songs, but instead just plays "To The Fruit Wizards of Donnington" for 45 minutes straight.

Yeah in past years it’s definitely been for hype and keeping people talking before the single days go on sale. This year who knows.

Honestly would pay to see James do that.

Yeah, this is more info than we've gotten from Riot since the first wave (only wave...?) dropped!

Nosferatu Alex Jones Hulk Hogan is a lot of things... But he's not a liar.

Apparently somebody on Reddit found a (now-seemingly-deleted, though it still pops up when you search it on Google) Facebook post from William Ryan Key saying that he's playing Riot Fest on the 14th...

I'm guessing this means the announcement can't be too far away.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

That makes a lot of sense, since he's opening the Moose Blood tour.

Meh that's a pretty bad set for Riot. His solo stuff is really boring and at a festival people will just talk through it anyway

Its something I would see on a small indoors venue, not on an outdoor festival

Yea that's kind of weird but I imagine it'd be like a super early in the day set like 12:30 on Friday probably

I'm fully prepared to be underwhelmed by the second wave if it ever comes. IF.

Pretty much what I'm expecting from any second wave announcement at this point. An inexpensive addition to fill out lineup. Really skeptical that many big names will be added this close to festival.
