    u wut m8?

After listening to this record essentially nonstop since last Thursday morning I think this is how I’d personally rank the songs on the record. I really enjoy every song on here so it’s hard to put a great song like Lambert so low. Also, I just watched a live video of Gameshark and, god damn Connor’s screams sound phenomenal. Can’t wait to see them in Harvard Square in a few weeks.

Nine Cups is the shortest 9 minute song I’ve ever heard.

does this record have anyone else revisiting the Smidley record from last year. Conor maybe be entering into my top 5 favorite active vocalists

I’m late to the party but this is incredible, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it ends up being the best album to ever come out of this scene.

Nothing'll into Pink Gallo is still one of my favorite musical moments of last year.

Listend to that album a lot the first time I did acid. which, looking at the lyrics, is pretty perfect haha.

I like Nine Cups a lot but it definitely feels nine minutes to me, and a long one at that.

Definitely feels like Smidley was as big an influence on this as either of the previous proper Foxing records. The title track could have easily been a Smidley single.

I think where that record informs this one the most is in the vocal style. Conor was learning to channel his falsetto voice a lot better on that record. He's got an impressive catalogue now with the 3 foxing records and smidley. Hope both projects continue, he said there will likely be another Smidley record at some point so that is exciting.

We reach for the longest shadow

So I did something I haven't done in a long time: I listened to Science Fiction. I haven't had a desire to listen since everything happened, but there are parts of this album that reminded me of it, so I wanted to listen and see if that comparison held up. Honestly? SF sounds safe after listening to this. I don't see any reason to listen again anytime soon. Foxing have done something that I don't think any other band that's come out of the emo/pop-punk/whatever scene has done. I still don't click with every song, but the vision and risks taken here absolutely dwarf any other album I've listened to recently. Sorry for rambling. I think this album is special.

Respectfully disagree and want to refrain from arguing about it, for obvious reasons. But I do agree that this album is really good and probably won't be forgotten very soon.

I don’t find it anywhere near ambitious enough to say no other band in the scene has ever done it. It’s a decent album, some great songs
