As soon as the rhythm came in at the beginning I was into this hard. Living in Germany for the summer I've definitely been more surrounded by dance music than rock, and it's helped me embrace and understand that kind of music much more, so this came out at a great time for me.

 

I actually think my only issue with this song is that I wish it was like 15 minutes long because once that beat and piano rhythm come in I just wanna listen on repeat forever

 

This really is the perfect end of summer song. They always know what I want before I do.

why do people hate "autotune" so much? there's so much resistance to people utilizing all the tools at their disposal, and seems like a lot of people just assume "vocal manipulation" is autotune and its frustrating to keep reading the critique on it. it'll probably never stop tho

And absolutely everything on spotify is pitch corrected. If you hate autotune go listen to nofx new live album all day.

 

Well, prolly not everything on Spotify but almost everything recorded in a professional studio. I'm sure theres some garage rock bands on Spotify who refused to use pitch correction tools, haha

 

you can’t really use pitch correction on screamed vocals either but otherwise yes the vast majority of modern music has pitch correction being used, it’s just not noticeable.

 

"I want live off the floor" - sounds like ass. Very few artists can pull that off and make it sound decent.

 

it's more noticeable when the singer had horrible takes where he totally missed the note

Or you can just choose for it to be more noticeable intentionally if that's the effect you're goin' for.

 

Sometimes I forget how hot almost every take is in the article section of this website
