They’ve started writing (and demoing?) the album based on Instagram

 

Agreed but the Academy Is... is maybe only one league behind those two.

 

I put them way below cause I only liked one of their albums really and they haven't really been active in years.

I did like them though!

 

Fair. It is tough to say since we don’t know what Post neon TAI would’ve looked like.

 

But we DO know that The Maine are still active and only gettin' better! Can't wait for the next record.

 

It’s going to be special, I can feel it already!

 

If you're having a premonition this next album is going to be INCREDIBLE, full stop

 

I've noticed that they've been posting a lot of Pioneer related stuff on Instagram and Twitter. Wonder if the new record will have some of those influences??

 

They just put out a new podcast and said they feel like they're in a similar place as they were before Pioneer – more so in headspace than musically – but want to do something bold.

 

Going to be tough to top LLL.

 

I wish the acoustic album took some more chances and had some more variety, but it's pretty charming nonetheless.

Seriously though, this band seems like they get it and love what they do

 

They posted a clip on their instagram stories with a post saying Matt Squire is doing the new album.

 

Oh man

 

Their podcast is pretty cool if you're like me and geek out on all things music industry/record production process

 

I can't wait to hear some stuff from their new record. But again it's going to be really hard to top LLL for me. Every single thing about that album was incredible, including the outros, blended tracks, etc. A true classic and I knew it from the minute I listened to it in full.

 

Their latest podcast gives a little insight into process and struggle of making the new album, and how it compares to that of LLL.
