Take out the guitar solo, add vocoder, and it's basically the same song.;-p

To me it sounds like the title track from the last album just a little less ambient but with vocals.

I think that's an important part of the discussion. They played a small handful of arenas on their last US tours, but mostly large theaters and auditoriums. They have not reached that "arena status" in the US like the current/upcoming tours of Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, or Twenty One Pilots. Based on the three songs so far, I don't know if they're going to get there yet. I think they'll play venues similar to Paramore's recent tour, and more like The 1975's touring on the last record - mid-size amphitheaters, large auditoriums, smaller arenas, maybe a couple big ones.

the autotune reaaaallly takes me to a place i dont wanna go - weird scene pop circa 2008. not that there's anything wrong with using autotune as an effect.

Man I can wait to bump the bass when I hear this on great speakers

The guitar in the chorus is so freaking cool

Are some of the sounds pitch shift Matty vocals?

the autotune makes it sound like matty is singing to us from the distant future, the year 2006

did get a few drake vibes from the elements already mentioned but also from rhyming with "times" constantly (drake does that in like 10% of his songs). think it has the weaker personality out of the three but still like it a lot and it'll probably work better with context

  21. i already liked the song but the video really sells it for me.

revisiting give yourself a try and i think that's my favorite of the three so far. four listens in and tootimetootimetootime is really, really growing on me and i would say i love it now but its not in my top 10 songs by them like give yourself a try and love it if we made it easily are

I thought he seemed slightly more "tuned" on the other new songs as well. This is the most obvious though.

it’s funny how to me people are saying it has tropical house/drake vibes when drake has like two songs that ape that style that’s been around for a while lol but I guess it’s an easy comparison. personally don’t think it resembles drake at all
