Seriously. They absolutely nailed it and I’m really begging to hear some of those particular Handwritten tracks in Boston!

I would love more AS songs, and "Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts", but I'll take that exact setlist.

Two people I know saw Gaslight in Toronto and Chicago said show was great, but both had the comment of: “Man I wish Brian Fallon acted like he gave a shit to be playing.”

Which is odd, because in DC he was certainly pumped. It wasn’t solo show Brian, but he certainly didn’t seem upset.

Anyone else feel this? Or the opposite?

I wouldn’t say that he didn’t care during the second show. Musical performance was on point. There just wasn’t a lot of banter. His two moments were asking the audience to be careful trying to mosh around the kid and not kick him in the head. He said it’s not that kind of show. The second comment was when Matt Mays joined him on stay for a version of National Anthem. Brian said “people are requesting songs we already played”.

He seemed to have fun moments with Alex, Alex and Ian, changed some words, would laugh at his own jokes when he changed words. I’m sure playing a venue two nights in a row can feel like Déjà Vu, and it’s was a huge room which always feels less personal.

But yeah, musically solid. Also, the band set up fans to sing moments and seemed pleased with that. Who knows though.

It is a job and they didn’t just play ‘59 Sound and hit songs. They made sure to play what they wanted as well. I walked away happy (except for the parking issues at the venue).

Curious how many drunk bros will try ruin the night and ,,mosh on Gaslight" on Tuesday.I did see that happened even on Brian's solo show here like two years ago lol

The only moshing that I saw was during some of the uptempo 59 Sound songs, Sink or Swim songs, and American Slang to close the show out. And most of the moshing is really people just jumping up and down.

I didn’t personally notice Brian seeming bored or detached. I did notice maybe the most passionate crowd I’ve ever seen at a show, though. People fucking love this band and this record. It was a special thing to be a part of.

Fun show in Chicago. Great setlist. Didn’t get the vibe about Brian but also their squeezing almost thirty songs in an hour and 45 minutes so...

Exactly! Would you rather 12 songs and Brian talking or 25-27 Gaslight songs lol.

From the DC show, that was the most passionate crowd I’ve ever been apart of during a show. I’m glad it’s carrying on everywhere else, and exceptionally pumped to see them two more times this year. TOMORROW LETS GOOO!!

Based off these set lists, this is going to rule even more than DC.

Brian’s banter in the middle of the set was so funny

They were great last night though! Surprised how many Sink or Swim songs we got compared to American Slang. Also basically all of Handwritten was cool

I was impressed by the age range and mix of people at the show. Mostly respectful folks. The drunks get drunk. But most fans were singing along
