I already got one of each of the original trio with last resort.

 

Same! Now I can catch shinies and just focus on those.

Wow yeah me too, got super lucky and only had to evolve three. I don’t think I’ll bother with Umbreon or Espeon though.

 

I don’t have any spare Eevees except for one I have been saving for Gen 4. My mom has a lucky one from a random brand new trade the other day though so she can evolve one of them now.

 

Ah shit, I knew I forgot something

 

I guess I might evolve two shiny Eevee into Umbreon and Espeon just for the trade factor, since I’ve already walked almost 10k with one Eevee anyway. Assuming I get any shinies at all, that is.

 

Got my first ever shiny in an Eevee today. Not particularly powerful, but still nice.

 

Does anyone know if they keep last resort if you evolve after this weekend or is it only for these two days?

Okay cool. Thanks for the heads up. I’m debating how crazy I want to get with completing my dex. Like do I really need an regular evolved form of each with last resort and a shiny of each type with last resort? The answer; probably not. Am I going to try? Probably

Edit: and I know that you don’t have to have all of these to complete the dex it’s just the way my crazy brain works.

 

Oh yeah I’m right there with you haha. Espeon and Umbreon with Last Resort are gonna be a collectors item in a few months I bet, since most people probably won’t think to walk their Eevee for those evolutions. But then, like, the ones I’m walking are high IV’s and it’s tough for me to rationalize making an Espeon without dual psychic moves. It’s nice having the extra day to decide these things though.

 

So for evolving is there a certain way to know what you’re getting? I thought the naming trick only worked the first time

 

It does, so the three gen 1 evolutions are never a sure thing after you’ve used the name trick. Espeon and Umbreon can be evolved consistently by walking an Eevee for 10k, then evolving it while it is still your buddy. If evolved during the day, you will get Espeon, and at night you will get Umbreon.

 

I wish I wouldn’t have made my 100% eevee my buddy because I really don’t want my 100% Espeon to have last resort.

 

Not sure if you know this but if you remove it as your buddy after walking 10k, you can make it your buddy again after the event is over and won’t have to walk it the 10k again.

For anyone that doesn’t know: if you turn off AR+
under settings, when encountering a Pokémon you will be right in front of it instead of the “fly-in” animation. The reason this is important is because you will not see the sparkles indicating a shiny if you “fly-in”.

It’s been partly cloudy in the game for weeks now and of course today it’s cloudy and none of my Eevee are going to be weather boosted. Sigh

As soon as I complained on here I opened the app and it changed to partly cloudy lol

 

so far my gf has 5 shiny and i’m sitting at 2. she also hasn’t used the naming trick yet so she is gonna be set and then some by the end of tomorrow

 

Ive clicked on about 50 so far and only one shiny. It was a flareon. Tough crowd out here.
