hatched a shiny Togepi yesterday and didn’t even realize until now, first shiny hatch

 

I'm still walking my Togepi and have ten candies left. I would love to hatch a shiny before I evolve him but ya know, those Alolan eggs (aka Meowths) are taking up my whole egg inventory anyway.

 

Nice! Shiny babies are like the rarest ones.

 

Let us throw away eggs, Niantic. Or at least turn them into omelettes to power up our Pokemans.

My street is swamped with Bulbasaurs every day for some reason. I have even seen multiple Ivysaurs and caught a Venusaur out here. I'm hoping to get a shiny (which I missed during Community Day) but I'm not even sure I can tell the difference in color palettes.

 

At least the option to switch an old egg out for a new one would be nice. I know it's still the same thing pretty much but whatevs

Haha I'm not mad at you, this game is just like the Mario Party of Pokemon games. Ruthlessly unfair.

As someone who attempted and failed (twice) to solo Alolan Raichu this morning:

I think you know how I feel.

 

Traded for a shiny karp today. Nobody showed up for tonight’s Mewtwo raid. This game is frustrating some days. I have a buddy waiting to trade me a Mewtwo, but I wanted the satisfaction of catching one.

 

Crazy how I’ve already gotten over a million XP since hitting 40

 

Got about a hundred of each ball and have room for about 250 Pokémon in my bag. So ready for tomorrow. Not sure if I’m more excited for 3x stardust or shiny Eevee.

 

Supposed to pour all day. Sweeeeet

 

Last Resort is live if you evolve any Eevee you currently have, regardless of location. Did it with a Jolteon about an hour ago.

Note: in its current form, Last Resort is nothing amazing, but it could be buffed down the road. I’m just gonna evolve some with not great IV’s.

 

A heads-up that unlike the past couple of Community Days there does not seem to be a blanket catch bonus in place.

Not that it stopped me from catching 15 shinies, lol. There were a couple of bits where I ran low on Great and Ultra Balls but the Field Research helped me replenish those, too, so don't worry about running out.

 

It should be 3x stardust, was that not the case for you?

 

Sorry, I meant a boost to the chances of catching Pokemon. For Squirtle and Larvitar there was a significant boost to the catchability of all Pokemon applied, which is not the case here.

I believe there was indeed a 3x Stardust boost plus whatever I got from using my Star Pieces up.

 

Ah gotcha. That makes sense though because Eevee is a lot easier to catch than Squirtle, Larvitar, Dratini, and the other starters, so lowering the catch difficulty doesn’t seem as necessary as with those other Pokémon. Good to know though for sure.
