I really didn't want to like this because of how much they're literally trying to replicate so many elements of their sound.. but this is actually pretty good..

 

Yeah they're pretty much a carbon copy of The 1975, but to my ears it's just more great music of that style. Check out their other stuff too; it's all pretty good

I've read multiple Dan Ozzi articles today where he just offhandedly insults The 1975. I don't read a lot of music criticism anyway but damn

 

In regard to Dan Ozzi, what a pretentious, and rather ill informed comment.

 

That was one of the two quotes I ran into. There was also this, interviewing Ben Nichols of Lucero

so it's a weird recurring hate grudge apparently

 

Dan Ozzi is an absolute idiot. Spend 30 seconds scrolling his tweets and you’ll learn all there is to know.

I seriously can’t wait to see this live

 

It’s so simple but I love it so much lol

Just something about it furthers my feelings that this album cycle is going to be something really and truly special.

 

Is there a way to watch the new video without a Spotify account?

 

I’ve come to the realization that the “Siri” song is probably the intro, BUT not the usual 1975 intro. I will bet it’s the “welcome welcome boys and girls...” quote thing narrated by Siri as the new intro.

 

I definitely think it won’t be the intro we have heard for the past 2 albums. It would be surprising and Matty likes to keep things fresh.

The intro is just Matty reading the news for an hour

 

He likes to keep things fresh but I feel like the intro could be the one moment of continuity, as it has been thus far. Who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if it stayed, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was changed to avoid the predictability

 

I mean they could do both, have the normal intro into or cutting to “hello boys and girls..”

 

I feel like since they're doing two albums only one of them will have the intro and I feel like it'll be the second one
