They've got families. I don't expect a year and a half of touring.

 

Can blink announce an end date next and then can we lock that thread

 

They'll be going on well into their eighties.

 

Its kind of astounding how much faith we are putting in this band to have a plan with a 2-year timeline given that they often come across as a disorganized, non-committal, and dejected group when it comes to anything else that they do.

I see the reasons for calling it quits, and agree that it would be the right time for a variety of reasons, but I'm still skeptical.

 

I dont think they'd lie about breaking up, that's weird. If they did, I'd lose some respect for them

 

So I was driving home today and thought to myself "I wonder if I'll hear I Am A Nightmare on xmu/alt nation now that its released.."...Not 10 minutes later. What an awesome ride home. Ignore the dusty car :)

 

I'm just kinda 'shrug-shoulders' on everything that's being speculated and I'm just excited to see them in a couple days

 

So many people will have nowhere to FUCKING LIST THINGS ANYMORE.

God that drives me nuts.

 

Do you expect a knee-jerk reaction album in 2018 if this upcoming one is received poorly enough?

 

Dude, context. They're releasing an album this year, and then they are not breaking up for another year and a half, if the 418 theory is right. That's a lot of time to gain momentum.

 

Don't think so. I don't see why they'd do that. (It'll be there Lowborn.)

 

It's really not. It's probably 9 months or less of actual "band" time. And if the album is released when I think it is, there's not any chance at momentum to the level you're talking about.

They didn't get the album show they wanted. Brand New fans are crazy entitled little suckers.

 

They probably wanted them to play songs like Jude Law, Magazines, Deadbolt.

If I went on a Daisy night I'd be super bummed

 

To be fair, a LOT of people would want Brand New to play Deadbolt.

But the Daisy night included Devil and God.

 

Christ, I mean I'd be disappointed but even if they weren't my favourite band, I'd enjoy the gig and music for what it is and have fun. I doubt I'd even boo Nickelback out of just feeling like a twat for booing a band I'd paid to see...that's really pissed me off.

 

Haha I figured it was on purpose making fun of the fact that Thrice fans get that as well and that there's a comparison between the two.
