I never said that. You offered a take on music videos, and it matched my take on lyrics (if the subject of your post was swapped).

Eh, I don't really like the use of the phrase "hot take" for generally anything one disagrees with. I think it's overused and seems to imply trolling/lack of genuineness in the opinion in question

 

I don't see a "hot take" as something negative. It's just that this particular opinion is out of the ordinary, not in line with most other people's opinion. A hot take makes you special.

I've always seen it as having more of a connotation of "this person is going against the grain specifically to be contrarian/attract attention" rather than "this person has an unpopular opinion"

 

I can honestly kind of relate to this hot take. I'm usually a very lyric-oriented listener and love to peel back the layers of meaning in a song... but recently I've been getting into more and more artists where the lyrics aren't as crucial to me. My Epic is one of my favorite bands I've discovered from this site in a long time, and I'm not religious and haven't been for a long time. But I can still find a lot of beauty in their music, even though the lyrics are mostly faith-based.

 

this album needs to come out so Mike J doesn't implode

I would say we all need this album to come out or something new to drop from it, because honestly about 60% of this thread sucks.

At least we'll get a new single in a week's time. In general, I really don't feel much of a marketing push right now. Not having studio videos really dampens things.

 

I feel like all the albums im really looking forward to are lacking on the news front. Thrice, mwy, la dispute. All dead silence right now. Got foxing and the blue sky noise repressing to hold me over though
