Randomly dug up this album a few days ago, forgot how good it is

 

Those Nightmarer and Depravity records are both top-notch.

 

Man I tried to get into that Succumb record but something about the vocals don't sit right with me. They're touring with Pyrrhon (who are amazing) and I plan on going to that show so we'll see if I like them better live.

 

Hah good time I just re-listened to depravity this morning, I did not like it on my first listen a while ago but I loved it today. Weird. Glad I spun it.

 

Listening to Pyrrhon now. Real rad.

hugely underrated record.

 

Pyrrhon is rad live...wish they'd come through Chicago again sometime soon.

Will this be most of us in 40-60 years? Time will tell.

Death metal from So Cal.

Not sure if I've posted them here before, but High Command plays rad crossover thrash with a bit of black metal oomph on the vocals. They just signed to Southern Lord to put out their full length and will be touring the Eastern half of the country this month.

Punky thrash with crust and death metal grooves from Boston.

10 techy short blasts of grindcore from Ohio shared on the Starkweather facebook page. Pretty good shit if you've got five minutes to kill.

Also, the new High on Fire track is really settling in nicely after a few listens.

 

High Command is right from where I went to school. Dope tunes

 

Probably gonna go see them play at an indoor soccer park here next Monday...I'm really stoked to see them. Their riffs are so on point.

Revisiting the Rivers of Nihil album from this year. Great release

 

so fucking hype for the new high on fire.

 

That motorhead influence is heavy on the HoF track, it's not bad.

 

I wouldn't mind a full album of that, honestly. I know it won't be because it's High on Fire, but I've been really digging that punky, speed metal sound recently so hearing that yesterday was especially divine.
