Guessing this is the team send out in the first game of the Euros.

 

Judging by the line up, is it Milner and Vardy either side of Kane, and Rooney/Alli in front of Dier?

Seems like England are content on the ridiculous trial of Kane taking corners. Let's put the best finisher in the team as far as away from the goal as we can.

 

I think the diamond works best for England. Maybe move Rooney and Alli, but that's about it.

 

Brady just doesn't work as well in a possession system. If he wants to play 2 up top, Sturridge is much better at creating something out of nothing.

I'll be disappointed if Milner starts against Russia too. This system just isn't working.

 

Completely agree. In an ideal world Wilshere would be in there for Milner, but I think this is the best team we can put out at the moment.

I think in a diamond system, especially with the two wide midfielders preferring to play narrow, you need energetic fullbacks to cover a lot of ground. Rose and Walker fit that mold.

 

I know it's a friendly, but that flying boot is a banned for the tournament type of challenge if you ask me.

Actually don't expect Bellerin to move TOO soon. He's not a Barca fan, he's a Betis fan. He's completely 100% settled here, he mentioned how he felt "adopted" by Arteta and his wife which caused him to feel very at home in England and his girlfriend wants to stay in London.

I'm hoping this means another two seasons with him. We already said he's not for sale at any price, and the days of Barca ripping us off like they did for Fabregas (Just remember what dicks they were to us for that), are over.
