Anyone ever go camping anywhere around the metroplex or into Oklahoma, Louisiana, etc... Looking for somewhere "nature-y" to take my girlfriend for some much needed time away from the city.

 

Turner Falls is very close and pretty nice (in Oklahoma).

Possibly look at going to the Ozarks, Arkansas/Missouri.

There are a few trails and such closer to the DFW area but they won't be as nice as either of those drivable options.

 

@jmitch0906 Thanks. Turner Falls might be a good option if we can stay for the weekend. Might have to just do a day trip/overnight for right now, so I was looking into Cedar Hill State Park since it's only about an hour away. Anyone been there?

Going to see Freddie Gibbs at The Loft tonight... and JMBLYA tomorrow. Pretty excited.

Yeah, ticket prices are kinda crazy, but I was able to snag a ticket on CL for $55 so I justified it, since I missed Future when he was here in March. Kinda disappointed that the set times are so short though, but I don't know what I expected.

Going to The Shell Shack in Plano (off Dallas Pkwy) tonight to eat/get a couple drinks if anyone wants to join

However we talked about doing a chorus meetup in the near future

 

Going to a podcast taping of Comedy Bang Bang at The Texas Theatre tonight.

 

Anything going on this weekend? Been off work for a week and still have a week to go. Need to get out of the house soon before I go crazy.

 

Probably just gonna stay home and watch Bo Burnham's new special on Netflix this weekend. If it doesn't rain all weekend, I may go out to the lake on Sunday.

Maybe it's just me, but he doesn't seem to do much really does he? Like tv shows, movies, etc?

 

He had a TV show called "Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous" that was awesome but short lived unfortunately. Other than that, I've seen him a couple of times in cameo appearances in movies/TV, but nothing major. His last special "What." came out a little over 2 years ago, so he's on track for a new special. Oh yeah, and he put out a book of poetry/drawings not too long ago that's pretty dope too.

 

What a coincidence. I'm actually watching 'what.' right now. Pretty excited for the new one tonight.

 

What's everyone doing this weekend? Dustin and I were talking about having a Chorus meet up, though obviously we should probably plan a few weeks in advance

 

I'm busy Saturday night but free Friday night or Sunday night.

 

I'm free all nights

 

I'll be in town for the Modest Mouse show next month if anyone is going to that. If yall get a meet up put together before then I would drive over a buy a round of drinks.

 

I'll be going to that too for sure. Day after I'm going to Houston though so any kind of meet up would be preferred to be before if we're gonna plan around that haha

 

Or you could meet up without me of course but it'd be like going to a Mavericks game that Dirk Nowitzki won't play in

 

I didn't mean that weekend necessarily. If you guys plan something any time in the next few weeks just give me a little notice and I'll head over. Meeting sometime before the MM show works too, though.

 

What day of the week is it? I was imagining a raucous late nighter, but if we need to do early I will cope. Depending on of its a workday.
