Yeah, mine changed a few days back.

 

This is actually good? I hadn't heard much about it but it almost looked like a B budget movie.

 

I watched chernobyl diaries while we were waiting for my sister to give birth so I have fond memories of it. I remember it getting some hype when it came out. And a lot of buzz when ppl were like wtf that's Jesse McCartney???

 

No, it’s total shit lol but, it’s a quick fun horror fix if need be. Just watched it with friends last night and if you think about anything that happens in almost any scene for longer than a moment the whole thing falls apart. Character reactions, decisions, the acting itself (aside from a few moments) is just horrid.

But I’ve always been fascinated by Chernobyl so I like most of the set pieces. Just sucks that the film has no atmosphere whatsoever and there’s no reason to add “diaries” to the end of the title, it’s not a found footage film!

 

I actually just googled the cast and was like, “wait. Wasn’t he some singer guy for like 12 minutes?”

I’m afraid I have no idea what any of that means lol

 

I watched it yesterday. It was... fine. Really transparent/by the numbers. Like, there wasn’t anything wrong with it, but it was just incredibly bland. If you’re looking to just turn your brain off for a little bit or have something on that doesn’t require your full attention, I’d say go for it. Wouldn’t really recommend otherwise though.

 

It's in my queue, I need to watch it. I never saw Contagion either. Need to get up to speed on my Soderbergh. Magic Mike, Logan Lucky, and Side Effects are all great.

 

Damn, I forgot that he had Erin Brockovich and Traffic in the same year.

 

It’s a great movie with an incredible story and good acting.

I remember liking Contagion, but it’s been years. I should watch it again.

 

i really like Contagion. people shit on it though because i think they were expecting something different to go with the subject matter.

Saw a bunch of A24 movies moved from Prime to Netflix, I'd recommend checking out Obvious Child, Locke and End of the Tour if you haven't seen them yet.

 

I forgot about End of the Tour. Wanted to see it when it came out.

 

It’s decent but I don’t think it’s outstanding or anything. Worth a stream, haha.
