I used to have a lot of anxiety of how and where to store records - especially with little kids running around the house and breaking shit all of the time - but I kind of became numb to it. About 10 months ago, I moved my record player and collection down to the basement because we finished our basement and sometimes I worry it's too cold for them, but so far so good.

 

Fuck, my shelf is WAY too crowded...

 

I posted about moving the other day in here and advise to do so. I found these at the container store for about $30 a piece. they hold "90". Picked up 4 of them.

 

yea these are telling me I need to make some space haha

 

I'm pretty sure when I moved I just used a cardboard box. Then again I moved right from one apartment to another, so there wasn't much risk

 

Hey all, is it against the rules to sell records in this thread? I have a handful of records from my collection that I am getting rid of, figured I would check in here to see if anyone would be interested. If I'm not infringing on any rules, I'll post the list of records!

 

Yea, I have tried that but they always seem to cave into each other.

soft speak records is sadly shutting down - theyve put up all their remaining vinyl for 5 bucks. great selection if you like indie/punk/emo revival. i particularly recommend Runaway Brother's summer/autumn 7 inch

 

Idk why I’ve slept on picking up Gone by Vacationer for so long, it’s definitely among my favorite records of the decade and I’ve had multiple chances to snag it since it came out over 6 years ago and I’ve seen them so many times.

I went to their merch table to pick it up the other night after their set and their TM informed me that not only was I getting the last of their tour supply, but very likely the last to ever be pressed. I feel like this is the closest I’ll ever get to winning the lottery haha

 

“Ten Bands One Cause” announces lineup

Some pretty cool albums being repressed on pink vinyl for this years ten bands one cause. I'll definitley try to pick up a copy of Swoon once I get paid.

 

I've been wanting to get my grubby little hands on that first AAR album, but it's always just barely too much money for me to justify. $32 for this pressing is no exception, unfortunately...

 

Get on that softspeak records sale, that label has done nothing but positive things for the music community and charities. I highly suggest boy rex, tawny peaks, runaway brother 7” and alaska

 

Weird that that one is so much compared to the rest.

I will probably grab Swoon. Does it say how limited these are?
