they played this song at AC Beer Fest awhile back. said they wrote it for someone else and would probably never play it again.

Look.... this song isn't great. Heck, it's not really good.... but it's definitely a song. And it's definitely good that it came out in the summer. And, it's definitely music. So yeah.

 

It does have chords and percussion and vocals and a melody. Correct.

Wow, this is...different.

 

I'm really upset with where Dashboard is at now. I saw them live for the first time when they opened for Third Eye Blind a while back and it blew my mind. What an incredible live act.

I don't even know what I want out of the band at this point.

 

I saw Dashboard on that 3EB tour, the Taste of Chaos tour, and then that winter club tour last year. They were great all three times, but the shows were pretty much all the same. I really have no desire to see them again unless they really switch up their live show (fingers crossed for a Chris solo acoustic tour).

 

I've actually only seen Chris solo acoustic haha, you just gotta travel back in time to 2011

What did you think of the new record? IMO there's a lot of classic Dashboard on there, just transported into 2018

 

I really like half of Crooked Shadows.

I guess these other new songs are meant to be the opposite of his Twin Forks writings.

 

I thought Crooked Shadows was awful. But that new song was something worse.

I’d agree. At this point it’s all just a means to release music.

 

Not from one single but from an entire disappointing album and a single.

 

From what I remember I really liked 4 of the songs on Crooked Shadows. The rest fell off for me and I can't even remember what they sound like.

Whoever does their live sound deserves an award because they are one of the top 3 sonically best sounding live bands I've ever seen.

 

Crooked Shadows has got to be one of the worst comeback albums ever from a band I’ve loved for years.

I only go back to a few songs from it. I’m still waiting to hear Just What You Say on a tv show or something. I heard Heart Beat Here get used for a tv show or movie trailer recently too. Can’t remember now.

 

I liked Fall Out Boy. Can’t even listen to them since their comeback. Music changed soooo much.

Crooked Shadows is just a collection of songs. Feels a little scared, but some songs are gems.

 

I didn't think they could release a song worse than that Chainsmokers tribute they had on Crooked Shadows...guess they showed me.

 

I don't get all the hate for Crooked Shadows. I think the album was pretty solid

 

The lead single was good at least lol

 

Lead single is the shit!

 

“We Fight” is the best song on the album.

if kindayeahsorta is the worst song you've ever heard and makes you viscerally angry you must have heard very few songs haha, not saying it's particularly good but like I said it sounds like a throwaway Weezer track
