So my last song of Warped Tour was Strangers by Trash Boat. I also saw, Waterparks, Knuckle Puck, Mayday Parade, State Champs, caught one Chelsea Grin song, Falling In Reverse, caught a few Senses Fail songs and As It Is along with others.

Ironically there was more moshing at the As It Is show than the Trash Boat show.

Trash Boat deserves all the love and respect in the world honestly. It's just real shame because it seems like they're playing at the same as a lot of legacy bands (The Used, Simple Plan, Senses Fail, etc.)

They're sophomore effort seems to be getting a lot of praise. It won't be too long before they break through.

So Maryland yesterday was pretty great, and I wanted to do a recap, but it’ll probably be super long.

My friend and I parked in the garage around 10:30. We walked over and saw people were going in, so we donated $5 and got a wristband, then got in a fast moving line. Nobody checked our wristbands, and they barely checked our bags. We were in by 10:50. Neither of us wanted to buy a schedule, so we walked around for a bit before asking to take a picture of somebody’s schedule. My friend ran off to Amity while I sat in the shade and planned out my day. I had nothing until As It Is at 12:10, so I walked around a bit. I went to look at As It Is’ merch, and Ben was there. I talked with him for a few minutes, so that was cool, but I took the worst selfie ever.

I saw some of Doll Skin while waiting for As It Is, and they were pretty good. I was at the Camden and Holmdel dates, and As It Is was the band that impressed me the most. They’re definitely one of my favorite bands now. I was able to get on the barricade for them, and got a pick at the end. I then had a lot of time to kill before 3OH!3, so I went to the amphitheater. I caught most of Tonight Alive, but missed my favorite song, Lonely Girl. I also saw Four Year Strong and some of Less Than Jake before going to the restroom then to 3OH!3. For the last few years, they had put a Monster stage on the top of a hill, so you couldn’t see anything on the stage unless you were close. This year, the Left Foot stage was in that spot. I sat in the shade for most of 3OH!3 since I couldn’t see anything, but Don’t Trust Me is always fun.

I then ran to the amphitheater for Simple Plan. Putting the Right Foot stage there was a mistake, since the pit was full as they were starting, and security wasn’t allowing anybody down there. I very rarely crowd surf but wanted to at my last Warped, and wanted to do it during Simple Plan. I was annoyed and couldn’t find anybody to watch my stuff if I did make it into the pit, so I left early to go to MIW. Even with three dates, I never caught a full Simple Plan set. In Camden, I got dehydrated and had to sit down, and in Holmdel they conflicted with As It Is.

I decided to crowd surf during MIW. MIW is the band I’ve seen the most, and they’re always good live. After that I watched some of Assuming We Survive. I only know a few songs by them, but they were really good live in Holmdel.

I left after a bit so I could make my way over to Good Charlotte, and my friend went to Issues’ signing. She and other people were upset because only Tyler was at the signing. It was nice that we got a special guest, even if I couldn’t actually see them. I then went over to the Owly stage and saw some of Grayscale. They seemed to have a good crowd.

Story Untold is one of my favorite bands, and I was able to get on the barricade at the other two dates, but only made it up to second row in MD. They had the biggest crowd out of the three dates at this show. I then met them after, then caught the end of Stacked Like Pancakes. I was with my friend at that point, and she wanted to see Mayday Parade, so we went over there. I couldn’t see anything on the stage from where we were, and I’m tall, so the stage should not have been on a hill like that. I was sitting under a tree, and everybody else sitting was singing along to Jamie All Over, and it hit me that this was my last Warped. Even though I’ve only been going since 2014, it’s so different from other festivals.

After a few songs, we walked over to Ice Nine Kills. I watched my friend’s bag while she crowd surfed. She later told me that they ended up crowd surfing some kid, so I thought that was cool. I left after a few songs to sit in the amphitheater for FIR.

I hate that FIR was my last set of Warped, but they were the last set I saw at my first Warped, and my friends and I were into them a few years ago (we’re definitely not anymore) so it was sort of fitting. The best part of the set was that the bassist’s voice was better than Ronnie’s.

This was the only time I stayed until it got dark at Warped, so that was weird. I guess it’s nice that I stayed until the very end at my last Warped though. I tried to meet up with the friend who came with me, but it took a while and that was a pretty stressful end to the day. We didn’t get to the car until 9:20, so we gave up on grabbing pizza, and drove straight back to my house, since we both had to get up early today.

Somehow, I didn’t get sunburnt at all yesterday. My stomach muscles are sore and my legs hurt a bit, but that’s it. I have three other concerts this week and I’m already stressed about tomorrow’s, so I know I’m going to be beyond exhausted by next Sunday. All in all, it was a good day. I managed to see at least some of each band I wanted to see this year, and caught my very favorites three times. This year was definitely the most fun I’ve had at Warped, so that made Warped ending that much sadder. Hopefully whatever happens next year will have something that I can get to, though I’m not holding my breath for something in the DC/Baltimore area.

That’s awesome. I wonder how big of a crowd she pulled.

She was in the amphitheater so it’s hard to determine who was there for her but most of the seats were occupied.

My last Warped Tour consisted of

    11:15 - Grayscale
Pretty solid but the crowd was unusually small for the Owly.fm stage. It was a good band to start the day
    12:00 - We The Kings
One of the bands I watched at my first Warped in ‘08 so I figured watching them for my last Warped would be good. I decided to stay in the amphitheater due to rain and watch a few more bands
    12:30 - Reel Big Fish
Sounded like they always do. Not bad.
    1:00 - Movements
One of the bands I was looking forward to. Their stage presence isn’t great but the band sounded good. Not many people in the crowd seemed to be into them.
    1:30 - The Interrupters
I’ve never heard of them but recognized one of their songs. Pretty solid live.

The rain started to die down around 2 and I was able to leave after having to hear a few Falling In Reverse songs. They had one of the biggest crowds of the day.

    2:30 - MyChildren MyBride/Mayday Parade
I was big into this band 8 - 10 years ago and always wondering why they never played Warped until this year. Really good live but their crowd was small. I could only watch a few songs before going to Mayday Parade and catching their last 3 songs.

While walking around I caught a few songs from Senses Fail and 3oh!3

    4:00 - Tonight Alive
Jenna’s vocals were as good as always. Her dialogue between songs was a little cringe worthy.

    4:30 - Knuckle Puck
Another band I was looking forward to. They sounded great and the crowd was into them.
    5:00 - Real Friends
    Same as Knuckle Puck
    5:30 - Cassadee Pope
The crowd didn’t seem to be into her solo stuff but got into her Hey Monday songs.
    6:00 - August Burns Red
The band I wanted to see the most. Solid as ever and had one of the biggest crowds.
    6:30 - Kublai Khan
The most aggressive crowd of the day. Stupid heavy live.
    7:00 - Less Than Jake
One of the bands I always end up watching whenever they are on Warped. Good as always.
    7:30 - Issues
Better than usual. The crowd wasn’t an into them as I thought they would be.
    8:00 - Crown The Empire/Simple Plan
I watched the first half of CTE and the last half of SP. My last Warped song was “Perfect” by Simple Plan.

I also got pics with Broadside and Knuckle Puck. And yeah I think FIR had like the biggest crowd, and people were chanting for the band before they started.

August Burns Red was my favorite live band yesterday. Mayday Parade, Grayscale and Issues were good live too. Got to meet Cassadee Pope again and saw her play a tune from the Hey Monday days. My last warped song ended up being Mad At Myself by Issues.

I'd wager you're right. I know he's the usual scapegoat in these situations, but there's no other artist on the tour that I can think of that would start drama over a positive thing another artist is doing.

It's about the guitarist from Palaye Royale. He tweeted some stuff yesterday and today that was incredibly ignorant, in my opinion.

Jesus Christ. For the trillionth time, mental illness is no different than physical illness!!! If you’re a soccer player and injur your leg, you’d sit out and let it heal. Same principle applies to anxiety/insert mental illness here. What a dipshit.

“Heard the most ridiculous thing today. Some player complained about playing a game everyday. I get it injuring your leg is what people deal with everyday but there are so many people that would kill to be in your position. You get to play “your” sport to a crowd everyday. Suck it up..”

    Yeah...

That's the same Palaye Royale guy who said he didn't want to "look like a transvestite" a few days ago.

For the record Sebastian was talking about Patty Walters from As It Is. (Whose been talking a lot about mental health/illness lately. Warped is really shitty for his mental health.)
