So the entirety of Pop-punk twitter is going wild of this (probably meaningless) tweet, but thought it was worth sharing.

Seems like a weird place to potentially have a date next year, Unless it draws well over other dates around that area

The Scranton venue would be good for a one stop festival. They already have Peach Festival and Camp Bisco there. Plus there's a waterpark on site.

So any date is tomorrow and I just developed a stuffy/runny nose. The heat is going to suck.

I think it’d make perfect sense. You’d get people all up the entire east coast!

For sure, I would go. I just feel like they would want a bigger place because of the reason that so many people from the east coast would go

Hey, kind of a reach, but if anyone is going to the Florida dates, can you pick up a CD of As It Is' new album and send it to me? (Digitally or otherwise)

My last song was 1985 by Bowling for Soup. A great last song to go out to.

Hell of a day at Columbia, MD warped!
Brought my can goods got in at 11 on the dot! Times kinda sucked for some owly bands I wanted to see...Saw the following bands in order!

Amity Affliction- first on the mutant stages the wife’s must see band had great energy for being that early. Sounded Ok nothing great a nice heavy set to start the day off

Knuckle Puck- saw two songs walking over to the other main stage in the Amphitheatre they sounded fantastic.

Tonight Alive- WOW!!!! got good spots to TA and they blew the roof off the Amphitheatre. Jenna’s voice sounded so powerful and filled every inch of that space and she commanded the stage. Incredible performance

FYS- fun performance great set wished they played a smaller outside stage

LTJ- same as above with the stage preference.... they brought a young fan on stage to dance which was Awesome. Great energy

Simple Plan- great set filled with set staples and huge sing alongs. Biggest main stage ampiteaheree crowd that I saw.

Good Charlotte- Huge huge crowd at the outside main stage. Got great spots two ppl back from the barrier. Fun times all around crowd surfers, moshing, crazy woman fighting everyone around her in the pit. Great great set played all the hits!

Grayscale- caught three songs on the way to senses fail sounded good.. small crowd

Senses Fail. My second fav of the day buddy sounded great. Wish they would drop the cover mash up for sick or sane or something else. But buddy seems to be in a good place

This Wild Life- sounded good crowd didn’t really respond to we’ll but I enjoyed them

ABR- killed it sounded great caught the last 4 songs

ETID- My main band of the day. Killed it what a way to end the last warped with on of my favorite bands who I found out about thei my first warped tour!

I'm days late, but here's my recap from Scranton on Thursday.

I got to the venue about 9. I was able to park in the main lot and avoid being shuttled up from the lower area which was nice. They started letting us into the venue a little after 10:30 and I got right in.

The first band I saw was Medusa's Disco on Full Sail. They were only on our date and I wasn't familiar with them. Well they ended up being one of the best Warped sets I've seen in years. Amazing guitar work, great energy. Lots of Mars Volta and King Gizzard vibes from them. I bought their latest album and it's great too. Not a typical Warped band and I mean that in the best way possible.

Next up was Senses Fail. I hate to say it, but my gripes from their 2015 set remain intact. They were fun and the Nu Metal medley is cool, but something about their live sound just seems lacking. The songs don't really pack any punch. They seemed slightly quieter than the other bands on Monster. Buddy also spent a few minutes bashing security for not being able to handle the crowdsurfers and it was a bit awkward. They were okay I guess.

After SF I made a quick run up to Journeys Left to see Less Than Jake at 12:15. There isn't much to say about them that hasn't already. Awesome sound, great crowd interaction, solid setlist. They had a really fun circle pit going for just about their entire set. They had one of the smaller main stage crowds I saw though, which was kind of a bummer.

I took a short break until Circuit Of Suns at 1:10. They were a really cool Prog Metal/Mathcore band. They were on Full Sail and played to only 20 people or so, but I'd see them again. Definitely some Candiria/Dillinger influence going on there.

I left that set during the last song to get back to Monster just in time for Unearth at 1:30. They had a smaller crowd than most Monster bands, but lots of people singing along and moshing so that was cool to see. This was my first time seeing them since Ozzfest 2006 and it was cool that they mainly focused on older songs. The vocals were kinda drowned out in the mix, but the riffing was so solid that I didn't mind.

I wanted to take a break next so I went and watched Four Year Strong at 2:15 while sitting down. They sounded good, but I think I'm slowly outgrowing them. I wasn't nearly as amped to see them as I have been in the past. Still, though. I'm happy to see them doing their thing after all these years without a drastic departure from the sound they built their career around. The crowd was very into them.

I walked down to Owly to see Capstan at 3:15. I've heard really good things about their set this summer. I was only kinda into it. The vocalist has a really nice stage presence, but musically the set was weird. I can't tell if they're trying to cross over to Pop Punk or Hardcore kids. They had a lot of elements of both going on, but none of it seemed particularly memorable. I think they could get bigger with the right support slot. The vocalist kinda reminded me of Buddy from Senses Fail. At least with the way he carried himself on stage.

Reel Big Fish was up next at 3:45. For as much as I've criticized RBF this year for playing the same set at Warped every time, I still had a total blast watching them. Aaron had Tatiana (from the band TAT) come up to play guitar on the last couple songs which was cool. They also didn't play Sell Out which surprised me a bit. Has that been the case all summer?

I needed another break so I went and watched The Maine at 4:15 from the seats. They sounded damn near perfect and had one of the most enthusiastic main stage crowds I saw all day. I'll admit I'm not too familiar with their newer albums, but I want to dig deeper into them after seeing this set. They seem like a very professional group of people.

Palaye Royale was next at 5:15. That band has really grown on me in the last year or so. Yeah, they're very cheesy and image driven, but those dudes can rock out pretty well. I saw their set in 2016 and everything about their show has gotten better since. I think they will be one of the next big names in the Alt Press scene. I do think it's odd how the two other guys in their live band never ever appear in their promo shots or videos though.

Stone Clover was up next at 5:50. Another one of the highlights of my day. If you're into stuff like The Tossers and Real Mckenzies then you might enjoy them. The musicianship was very on point and their crowd gradually got bigger as the set went on. Probably the biggest Full Sail crowd I saw. I wish they were on more than 4 dates or whatever it was. I think they'd have been a hit on most dates.

By this point, I was getting pretty tired so I just relaxed for like 45 minutes because ETID played at 7:30 and I couldn't miss them. I headed down to Monster a little after 7 to catch the end of Twiztid. Not my thing, but they know how to work a crowd and had a really clear sound. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them again someday.

Every Time I Die was absolutely brilliant and the perfect way to close out my day. Map Change was an ideal final Warped Tour song. The setlist as a whole was pretty good. Cities And Years and Buffalo 666 were nice surprises. Their pit seemed pretty weak for them, but it was also 7:30 and most of us were probably ready for bed. Keith even acknowledged as much.

On the walk out of the venue, I got to see meet Kevin and thank him for the last 14 summers. He seemed genuinely grateful and thanked us for sticking with the tour for so long. Then I saw Jordan from ETID riding his bike down the mountain after I left the venue. Simple Plan closed out main stage at 8:15, but I had no energy to stick around.

Interesting. Someone on the side of the stage signaled to Aaron when there were 5 minutes left and he opted to close with She Has A Girlfriend Now instead.

Columbia, MD yesterday was sick, I took a year off from warped but had to come back for the final run. Here's who I saw:

Knuckle Puck - they never disappoint me, the new album bangs in concert. I was in the front row and the crowdsurfing was a little bit much, I miss seeing them in smaller crowds.

Issues - Caught a little snippet, I was kinda just passing through but they sounded alright

Four Year Strong - Couldn't get into the pit because security was limiting the amount of people on the floor of the amphitheater, but it looked wild and they sounded good.

    Broadside

    Trash Boat

*At this point I got food which took nearly an hour, Merriweather should fire whatever company they contract that out to immediately*

Real Friends - Pretty good, I always feel bad about going in the mosh pit for them because its usually full of teenage girls but w/e

State Champs - new album bangs live

Movements - I need to listen to these guys more, I really enjoyed it.

Sleep On It - By far the best set I saw, I had barely heard of them but they were incredible, even though their bus broke down and they only got to the venue like a half hour before their set.

Overall it was great, I just can't stand how much crowdsurfing there is at outdoor shows, especially warped. I promise I'm not the grumpy old man I sound like, but I really think its incredibly selfish and shitty, particularly when it's someone who has no business crowdsurfing.

I'm sure I said it already in my recap, but Reel Big Fish were so much fun. I love bands like that who are aware that a lot of the crowd isn't too familiar with all their work, so they find ways to get everyone to participate and sing a long.
