That 2018 farewell tour is going to make them soooo much money.

 

damn i always considered myself a pretty hardcore fan but i totally forgot the tour was kicking off last night. glad i got to wake up to 4 new pages of discussion without experiencing all the crippling anxiety last night.

 

The shirt with uk postage comes to about £28. I love you Brand New, but I'm not sure I love you enough for a £30 t-shirt, especially when I've bought something from them before I end up paying an extra £10 to the post office just because.

 

For sure, that flower shirt is a great piece of merch but that pricing is way too steep for me.

Understandable really. First time debuting a new song I can imagine you'd want it to be perfect, feeling like shitty equipment stops you from being able to do that has got to really piss anyone off.

Brand New is a pretty frustrating band to be a fan of, I'll be glad when they break up.

Yeah, I've only ever seen them twice, once in 2012 in Birmingham and the other again, in Birmingham, but at that tiny comedy club. I genuinely have an emergency Brand New UK tour/album preorder fund. The other times they've been here I've either been at uni/broke. I couldn't afford the trip to London last year and missed out on seeing Sealed To Me screamed live. Sigh.
So I absolutely need to see them as many times as possible now. But seeing as tickets for the June dates last year sold out in seconds, (literally didn't even go on sale on my screen but luckily a friend got me them in time), I don't know how successful I'll be doing that. Still have the setlist from that gig. I should frame it or something at some point, cos I sure as hell won't be framing the vinyl collection.

 

If they're going out in 2018 I want to see an epic 30-40 song set list to go out on in Long Island.

 

I was pretty skeptical about the 2018 breakup stuff, but now it seems entirely possible. They are my favorite band, but I honestly think I'll feel a sense of relief when they are done. So many self inflicted disapointments since daisy came out. Might just be easier to enjoy their catalog when I'm not constantly anticipating what's next.

 

I would be pissed too. Faulty gear is lame.

 

Just curious, has there ever been any kind of precedent set for singles being mixed differently than what ends up on albums? I can't think of an example that I've noticed.

 

I would travel from anywhere in the continental U.S. to come to their final show.
