The Moth was playing at my gym yesterday. I go 3x a week and have never heard an MO song being played.

 

Went to play Cope on vinyl and remembered about the three 7-inches that my deluxe version came with and spun this bad boy. Love the fuck outta this song.

 

Wow, I hadn't heard this before but it's wonderful.

 

For the longest time, I swear this version was absolutely nowhere on the Internet. Eventually found a sketchy ass download of it, but I spent hours looking because I knew it existed and wanted to hear it haha

 

It was difficult to find back then because they released a song for some kids alien movie with the exact same song name. Someone linked me a good copy online years back, but you could still hear the subtle vinyl pops and stuff. It bothered me at first, but it’s just become an endearing part of the track for me.

 

I am definitely familiar with the Earth To Echo version lol

 

THIS. oh my god I searched forever. was super surprised that not many people knew this existed other than the people that purchased the deluxe vinyl. I ended up ripping it myself.

 

Someone needs to clean their stylus and the 7”. Lol

There's like now 3 different versions of I Know How to Speak and 12 different versions of The Gold. This is nuts.

At this point I think we’ll just get endless reminders of this album for the rest of our lives (which I’m pretty okay with)

Wanna know something funny? I usually hate remixes and I really, really like this. It's so groovy. The verses have a Motown feel to them that I actually really like. Whoever made this is really creative and musical. It's just a different genre entirely.

The comments are pretty much split 50/50 between "this is the worst thing ever" and "this is great" though. That's hilarious.

Wasn't going to listen but how could I not now.

 

It just doesn't fit well. The pre-chorus clashes so hard with the music, specifically rythmically.
