I'm honestly surprised The Districts isn't on anyone's lists. A Flourish and A Spoil and Popular Manipulations were two of my favorite albums from 2015 and 2017. I saw them live in 2017 and was blown away.

They already played the album in Chicago back in May. Would be odd to do it twice.

 

Don't get me wrong. They're amazing live! But I've seen 3-4 times already, and I'd imagine it would be a "greatest hits" style set. I'd love to catch 'em live, but in terms of priority? Everything in the "must" and "want" category for me are well above them! FWIW, though? They're probably my #1 "If Time Permits" act, haha.

 

Yea I was there, I still thought they might do it again at the fest since they’ve been touring it pretty heavily and a fest crowd brings in a lot of people who wouldn’t have gone to the first show.

 

To Hype, or Not to Hype, that is the question..

What about ir they are waiting for the Gaslight Anthem show in Chicago for the 2nd wave?

 

I'd be super fucking stoked if Gaslight played but the show has been sold out for a really long time and there really wouldn't be any reason to wait

 

I feel like it's super unreasonable to hype up/hope for Green Day and Gaslight to be announced this late but I'm gonna do it anyway does that make me an optimist or a masochist

Anyone going to Wicker Park Fest this weekend? I'm gonna go see Against Me! tonight, The Get Up Kids tomorrow and possibly Remo Drive and Retirement Party on Sunday.

 

Catch Mark Rose right before RP on Sunday if you can! I'll be playing bass for him.

 

Will try to check at least some of it out before Remo! That's cool!

 

I went to see Blink and Green Day tour together in 2002 (w/ Saves the Day [Wish I knew better and was a fan before the show]). Would be cool to see both again! Green Day killed it. Tom was drunk and I was disappointed in Blink's set.

I saw Saves The Day open for Weezer in 2002 and didn't care much at the time. In retrospect I feel stupid. At least I got to see STD at Warped a couple years ago.

 

i snagged 3 days while on sale - i assume theres no real firm ideas to who is the third headliner? I would lose my shit if it was GD playing Dookie...

 

If Green Day playing Dookie is the 3rd headliner, I will fucking quit my job, ditch my class, and make the trip to Chicago for this

 

I hate to rain on the Dookie parade, but my guess is if they are actually doing something it won't be until early next year when it actually hits 25. Then again I guess september isn't even far from February (which google tells me is the month Dookie was released). So who knows.
