Anybody see Leave No Trace? Is the :100: rotten tomatoes rating accurate?

There are movies that are 100s to me, but I doubt there’s ever a movie that can be deemed perfect. Moreso just wondering if the immense amount of praise is warranted. My closest theatre that is showing it is sorta far and don’t know if I want to drive 45 mins to see it or not.

For what it's worth, a 100 on the Tomato-Meter is explicitly not a 10/10. It just means 100% of the reviews were deemed 'positive', whether that's a C+ or an A+. But with 157 positive reviews and an average score of 8.5/10, it's definitely worthy of the critical acclaim.

Lol I actually knew how it worked. I just defer to that aggregate rating of percentage of positive reviews over ratings from IMDB or metacritic. I tend to not agree with IMDB ratings of movies all too often.

I lucked into a great time to see Skyscraper around 11 am on a discount Tuesday. It was a sold out showing.

    Things have changed.

I've been to 90% of my movies alone in my lifetime. Maybe I'm just weird.

That's why I like RT's system, too, because you get both the aggregate rating of percentage of positive reviews as well as a ten point scale aggregate. Agreed, IMDB's scores are pretty much useless.

Skyscraper wasnt as bad as people made it seem. It was entertaining and to be honest didnt remind me too much of Die Hard. I would say Rampage was a lot funner though

In what world does a 1:00 showing of Hotel Transylvania 3 in a small town qualify for peak pricing

    Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

saw skyscraper yesterday, and it was the perfect moviepass movie because you'll def feel like you wasted your money otherwise.

as for going to movies alone, it's awesome. i saw someone mention going to concerts alone as if it's a bad thing. now that i'm older, i have no desire to go to concerts with other people. it's a hassle. so much easier to get in the spot you want and hold your ground when you don't have to worry about your wife being able to see over the tall guy in front of you.

  14. I opened up the app this morning to check the showtimes for Mission Impossible and almost every movie has $6 peak pricing for every time (even movies that have been out 2-3 weeks). This is the first time I've seen any peak pricing but if it's going to stay like this I'll be cancelling pretty quick.

Yea, Fallout has a $5.75 charge and it was like 9am when I checked. Which, for this theater was too early to buy any tickets.

If it’s gonna be that much I’ll have to consider cancelling and just waiting for Regal.

Ant Man has a $6 charge right now, at a theater that charges $7. For a movie that's been out almost a month? No thanks.

Thankfully Incredibles 2 doesn't have peak pricing (yet). If it still doesn't when I leave the office, I'm going to suck it up and go solo!

It's absurd how almost every single movie has peak pricing now. Anywhere from $4 to $7 depending on the time. The $10 price point is a sweet spot for me, but I wonder if it is worth moving to AMC's A-list.

P.S. I also go to the movies alone very frequently, especially since I joined Moviepass.

$6 for mission impossible fine I get but if I have to pay that for The Spy Who Dumped Me what's the point of movie pass

Seeing Mission Impossible tonight with no peak pricing and line priority at the concessions with AMC. Just saying.

MoviePass is still working out pretty well for me. The e-ticketing theaters (which luckily I have quite a few nearby) are exempt for peak-pricing (for now, at least) and I can still see the indies at the arthouse theater and there's never peak pricing on the indie stuff.

    Eighth Grade tonight!

I have a Stubbs account (feel like other people in here probably do too) so I can get my free moviepass movie, collect my AMC points, wait in virtually no lines, and get discounted and often free concessions. It’s a pretty good gig actually.

I still have yet to see a peak pricing, and I do my movie watching in Baltimore and York, PA, so not exactly unpopulated zones...
