Didn't know where else to really post this in, but I know there's some Seattle area people in here that this may concern:


I know that ShowBox gets a lot of shows in the Seattle area so this could be a big blow to the music scene there.

 

Islander have a few songs on the radio, and they'll probably headline venues like this on their next headlining tour.

 

Well, this fucking blows ass! (Although this would explain why the Showbox SoDo has been booking so many shows this fall.)

Seattle has just enough other venues that it should Soldier on, but this is easily the best of the mid-sized venues in the city, and a historical landmark to boot. I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen, or at least can be preserved/renovated if it does.

While I personally do enjoy some Cane Hill (especially Smile), Sharptooth are arguably one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Say what you like about their music and what they stand for, but they go NUTS live. Lauren (vocalist) is also one of the most friendliest people I've ever ran into, and gave me free shit.

 

This. Saw them at Warped this past weekend and they were easily the best band I saw out of two dates I went to this year. And agreed, Lauren is an absolute sweetheart.

 

I back Sharptooth being an insanely solid live band. They all seem like genuinely cool people too.

Didn't see a thread for it, but Blink presales are up. Just got mine for Grand Rapids - $96 after fees.

Took a few tries but got my floor tickets for the same show. I think I paid a little less 2 years ago for floor tickets at the Van.

 

Yeah, I paid roughly $90ish for 100 level tickets for Van Andel so I've got no complaints, haha. Blink and SC is such a great combo.
