    From where?

I love Brian’s last album, but I think another Gaslight record would be fantastic. It’d be cool if he could alternate between projects.

The last two nights in London have been unreal, what a reception they got. They even cracked out 'Halloween' tonight. I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I have the past two nights.

Late pass with this, but I just saw your post. The Riv is in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood and is in a nice, diverse area with some good food options nearby (I love an Ethiopian place named Damera that's located a block or two away from the Riv). From where you're staying at in Belmont Gardens, your best bet is probably taking the 77 Belmont CTA Bus over to the Red Line and then transferring over to that to take it up north to the stop at Lawrence depending on where exactly you are staying. The 74 Fullerton Bus and 76 Diversey Bus also runs east/west, but aren't 24 hours. You'll also have to transfer from the Brown Line to the Red Line if you take the Diversey bus over. Truthfully, Uber/Lyft will be your best bet depending on your price range.

The Riv's a nice sizable theatre, and they should sound great there. The only downside is that beers/drinks will be pricey, but that's pretty standard with any JAM Productions venue in Chicago.

If you want specific nightlife/food/activity recommendations, let me know!

I'm coming from Michigan for the show, staying at the Holiday Inn off of Sherman in Evanston. Easiest way to get to the venue? I'm not familiar with these two areas of Chicago at all haha. Definitely looking for food and brewery recs

    Easiest way to get there:
Catch the Purple Line at Davis or Dempster. Take it to the end of the line at Howard. Transfer to the Red Line there. And take the Red Line to Lawrence from there. Do the reverse to get back. Just be aware that Purple Line service ends around 2 AM on the weekends if you plan on being out that late.

    Food recs in Evanston:

This Tripadvisor list is actually pretty good: The 10 Best Evanston Restaurants 2018 - TripAdvisor

    Breweries in Evanston:
    -Temperance
    -Sketchbook
-Peckish Pig (also a solid gastropub)

    Breweries near the venue:
    -Half Acre
    -Spiteful
-Chicago's malt row of breweries (Half Acre's other space; Begyle; Dovetail; Empirical)
-Alarmist (a bit further west than you'd probably want to go, but I'm a huge fan of their stuff)
-Band of Bohemia (the beer's only decent, but their food is Michelin star rated).

    Food/nightlife near the venue:
    -Demera...again (if you like Ethiopian).
-Any of the Thai/Vietnamese places on Argyle just one Red Line stop north of Lawrence. That place is a mecca, and I don't know enough to give you specifics, but I've heard the food there is dank.
-The Green Mill (old-school jazz bar across Lawrence from the Riv open til 5 AM on Saturday)
-Uptown Lounge (dive-ish place within walking distance of the Riv. I like it).
-Bar on Buena (great burgers and tap selection)
-Hopleaf (venerable Chicago craft beer bar with great food)

Hope this list helps. This is just based on my experiences and opinions, and someone might have some better recommendations tailored to what you're looking for as I'm not 100% familiar with that area as I live in the burbs now. I really think you can't go wrong with the aforementioned though.

This has been wonderful, thank you. I'll take whatever you're willing to give me rec's wise. We've got a google doc that we use to list all the things we're seeing so I'd be curious if there's any overlap.

Start with the post I made in response to Joe4th for recommendations near the venue. As far as Belmont Gardens, I'll be frank and say I'm not familiar with that area of the city at all. It's largely a Hispanic, working class neighborhood so there's not a lot of reason to head out to that area unless you are a local. Things in that area I can think of off the top of my head:

-Pipeworks and Off Color have their production breweries near there and (IMO) make some of the best beer in the city.
-The Belford Tavern on the corner of Pulaski and Belmont has some rad drink specials and is a neat little neighborhood dive.
-Ponce on Fullerton has great Puerto Rican food. I haven't eaten there myself, but I have a friend in the area who swears by that place.
-Go to any tacqueria in the area, and you'll have some bomb-ass tacos and other Mexican food. You generally cannot go wrong, but I'd check Google/Yelp just to be sure.

You're near the Avondale and Logan Square neighorhoods which have a ton of amenities, nightlife, and things to do. My personal faves in that area:

-The Rocking Horse (good drink specials and decent bar food)
-Longman & Eagle (Michelin star rated spot with a great whiskey list)
    -Staropolska (venerable neighborhood Polish joint)
-Revolution Brewing Brewpub (great food and great brews)
-Logan Hardware (barcade focusing on vintage games, pinball, and Killer Queen)
-The Boiler Room ($10 PB&J special - slice of pizza, a tallboy of PRB, and a shot of Jameson. Nothing too spectacular, but the pizza is solid and it's a good place to get drunk fast)
-Owen & Engine (English Pub with my favorite burger in the city and a great drink list)
-Paladar (Cuban restaurant with a great rum selection and excellent food)
-90 Miles Cuban Cafe (Cuban restaurant that was on Diners, DriveIns, and Dives)
    -Whirlyball (just look it up)
-Kuma's Corner (metal-themed burger place with a good draft list and great burgers)
-Smoque BBQ (arguably the best ribs in the city and BYOB - keyword there being arguably. I dig them, but my wife thinks they're overrated as fuck).

But yeah, you generally can't go wrong if a place sounds good in the area. Just check Google/Yelp to confirm your suspicions before going in because there are a few duds here and there.

A little bit east of Belmont Gardens, on Maplewood just south of Diversey, is a great little brewery with good food called Maplewood. Highly recommended!

I think I've asked before but is this what they'll have at these shows or will they be different ones?

^To add to that, are those posters gonna be 18 x 24 or some other conventional size? I need it for my reading nook.

No idea but I'm leaning towards this is what they will have, it follows the same style/scheme as the other runs.
