Dogs love babies and babies love dogs.

 

Athena, my aunt's 3 year old labradoodle. We call her Na-na for short.

 

So I work at an animal hospital and people drop in with animals they find sometimes and this lady brought this kitten in that she found on the side of the road in a box and the staff held on to him and called the nearest shelter but said they'd try to find someone to take him before they had to come and pick him up. Someone texted me his picture and he happens to look like the kitten version of two cats I've had that have been put to sleep and now that he's been with me for almost a week I'm finding he's the sweetest little friendly purr machine and I really want to keep him forever but I already have three cats and I know what a nightmare it's going to be trying to move with that many and four was really a lot to handle before and I don't actually want to do it again. One of my cats is like 18 and showing signs of kidney disease but still relatively healthy and stubborn to boot so I don't actually know how long she'll be around but I know I shouldn't take on a fourth cat anyway even if he's the cutest thing ever.

Edit: this is him the day he came in before I got to meet him and we fell in love. Top right was my Jack and below him is Jazzy. I'm calling the new little one Oliver.

 

Had to say goodbye to this big bundle of fluff the other day.


I'd been on holiday, and collected her from the kennels, she saw me, got too excited and tried to run, which at 13 was a challenge and her back legs just gave up. Absolutely heartbreaking that I lost her in a moment of happiness.

 

AHHH this made me so sad. What a cute fluffer butt

 

She spent five minutes licking my hand this morning.

 

My white German shepherd got had to get put down Saturday night while I was away for the weekend.

No warning and no chance to say goodbye is a bit shit. Old mate was 11 and on the decline but I still thought he had a year or two left in him.

She's currently sleeping curled up inside my headphones.

 

One of our weirdo cats has been sleeping in my bathroom sink. I ended up washing my hands in the shower last night.

 

My kitten Terry actually just discovered the bathroom sink. He also loves the bathtub.

Today was their first time playing together, I can see this becoming a life-long friendship.

This is my little old lady, Shelbie. She turned 16 in March (had her since I was 10). She finds so much joy in life even at such an old age, I'm starting to think she's discovered the secret to immortality and just isn't telling me or something
