Hey @littlejohn you’re a car guy, any reason the side doors on my minivan would stop auto opening and closing other than the child locks or the fuse?

 

Could be the switch in the driver panel to keep those doors from being controlled by the buttons

What kind of van? Odyssey?

 

Yeah, Odyssey. Less than a year old too, so seems odd it would be a mechanical issue.

I’ll check for that switch, I didn’t even know there was such a thing (I rarely drive the damn car).

That’s the worst.

 

Mine has a switch near the door buttons, you can switch it left or right and it's door controls. Couldn't open back doors by buttons once and it turned out one of my kids was playing with the switch. One time our battery died and doors wouldn't open, is your battery dead? Haha

 

Battery is fine. It started and drove and everything else electronic worked. The rear gate worked fine too, just the side doors.

Yeah i would check that switch since it's both doors its highly unlikely that it's the door motors going out at the same time..

It was that stupid switch. I honestly had no idea it was there, it’s not very clearly marked. They need to make that a button you have to press and hold for a few seconds.

 

I figured that was the case.

I agree it doesn't even say anything. Just a red dot. Haha
