Man, I just got completely excited for this game again and to be honest I was starting to feel a little burnt out. Like now when I’m grinding to get to 40 I have an objective at least.

 

Seriously it seems like they always come out with something to draw me back in. Also, a level cap raise seems more and more imminent.

 

I hate how bad I want to make sure I’m at 40 before the level cap is raised. Like the feeling of getting there is almost all encompassing. This game is good....

Edit: also, I can’t wait until the data miners figure out the specifics of the quests for Celebi so I can go ahead and start grinding for whatever 400 candy Pokémon we have to evolve.

 

- "Only 1000 XP to go until level 40!"

Yo, I'm back on this game after about 18 months off, so I'm massively playing catch up (haven't played since pre-gen 2). Don't know anyone personally who still plays, but if anyone here wants to share friend codes then hit me up, I'd be glad to connect.

 

I think they’re trying to get players who took a break or just started up to those who have been playing forever instead of planning to raise the cap. The friend and gift XP really benefits lower level players. And a level cap increase seems kind of like the last update they would have to bring people in once every gen comes out and other mechanics are added. But yeah, I’m rushing to 40 JUST in case I’m wrong. I need to see that XP bar disappear before it raises. Hoping it will be a week or less now.

 

They explicitly said that a level cap raise was coming soon, just not when.

Oh, that Hanke on a plane thing. That was just vague statements about the future of the game, no timetables given. He talked about PvP too and we all know that needs a major rework before anything would happen. I’m sure they will increase the cap eventually, but I don’t think it’s the priority when they can do so much else before that.

I really want to know more about “lucky Pokémon “

 

Apparently they are Pokémon that don’t require any stardust to power up, but still require the same amount of candies.

 

Why are dittos so hard to find? I've only caught like 2 since the game started and I need one for the research

 

You just have to be willing to catch every trash Pokémon you see. I didn’t see any Dittos for months when I wasn’t really grinding candies, but now that I’m trying to level up quickly I’ve been catching everything again and they are everywhere. If you ever have a low-ish level Pidgey pop out of a ball or two, give it a berry and a better ball and try again, that’s the only clue you have that something is up.

 

Looks like the no stardust thing was a glitch in the videos and when they come out it will be half cost only. Still cool but not nearly as exciting as dust free.

Can you catch them in the wild or do you acquire them through trading?

 

I don’t think anything is really known about the mechanics yet. Sounds like the general theory is that it will behave like a shiny or a critical catch and just have a random chance at being lucky instead of those.

 

I've been trying to catch everything, espcially all of the garbage that spawns in parking lots but still no luck. I guess I just have to keep trying. I actually caught one a few weeks ago right before I got to this research lol

 

That sucks. I wish trading counted for catch research.
